Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Computer too cr@ppy to post the pic but if your interested in side saddles.....

http://racine.craigslist.org/grd/3878647510.html

When I was about 12 my uncle made me use one in a parade all dressed up. NOT MY THING! LOL That saddle was torture!!! I don't know how women rode for more that 15-20 on them! My legs fell asleep and and I always felt like I was going to fall.
Actually, I'm wondering if that isn't the one I used. I only saw it for a few months after I used it.

Night again!!

Morning :frow
FRENCHIE - I would wait to name till you can see her real personality come thru before choosing her permanent name.

TO - sorry about he kiddos but now you will have more time to play. That's a good thing, right? ;)

STACY - good luck on the hatch!

Went to Rhinelander yesterday. Wow! The traffic is already getting crazy. By Saturday we should have the entire state of Illinois up here:eek:
Oh well, guess that's what happens when you live in vacation land.

Ok, now I need another cuppa. Up way too early!!!

Vicki I agree with you there on the traffic, I have noticed a steady increase in the past few weeks. Of course, we have a load of people in Oshkosh right now for Country USA......

CS, go for it! It is really hard work but fun too! I need to get myself a bag so I can continue here at home.... I also need to get my bike down out of the garage and start my Tri training next week..... so I am going to be a whole lotta tired in the next few weeks...... somehow I have to fit into my schedule running, biking and swimming.

I could post more pics of our trip, but all it would be is a repeat of the drive out there...... lots of green rolling meadow......

I do want to post one more, I saw this in WY at one of the Walmarts we stopped at....

I was so surprised to see livestock feed!

TO, sorry those kiddos are leaving you..... I bet you will let them come over when they want to for visits.

CC, what's the update on the Budgie?????

I love the chick pics..... wish I could get a handful.

I found a BEAUTIFUL BW paint horse on CL....... 6yr old mare. (Sigh!)........ I should stop looking on CL.

I suppose I should eat breakfast and head to work....

Alright, against my better judgement, I'm going to defend the state of Illinois here. I'm not sure to what you are referring to with "the entire state of Illinois" coming up there to "vacation land" but as a resident of Illinois I defend our right to spend money in any state in the USA. (Insert a disclaimer here that I am not angry at all but having a little fun) I like to spend money in Tennessee, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Michigan, & recently Missouri. Now to get to the issue that I here of most often....yes I do drive into your fine state on a daily basis, I do buy gas in Kenosha because it is cheaper, I do attend events within the borders of Wisconsin, and live in Illinois. Now that being said.....I would do that in any state that surrounded me as I travel for concerts and other interesting events (like Chickenstock, vacations, etc).Although I do not live in Wisconsin paying property taxes, I do pay a lot of sales tax to the fine states that I visit! (Insert smiley)
Now that I've poked a stick into the fire (insert another smiley), I'll post my comment and go have breakfast (insert blue smiley hiding under the chair)
DISCLAIMER....THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS POST. DO NOT TAKE IT TO HEART. DO NOT GET UPSET AND YELL AT ME........LOL.

There is a T-shirt that used to be sold up here that read;
WHAT IS THE NAME OF ILLINOIS' LARGEST STATE PARK? WISCONSIN :lau

BTW - didn't mean to start a firestorm or offend anyone, just stating a fact. Didn't say anyone wasn't welcome! Many of the cabins etc. Around the lakes up here are owned by Illinois folks and of course all the small businesses up here that that rely on tourism to survive welcome your dollars. The area where I live is NOT in any way metropolitan, it is primarily a seasonall recreational area and some logging. In summer the visitors usually outnumber the locals two to one. To give those that don't already know what I'm talking about, I live 35+ miles from the nearest stoplight and there are only 2 (3 if you count the one that only works sometimes in front of the Walmart) in the entire county and they are all in Antigo!
Wow Jim, looks like I just joined your club  Guess I'm not as good at being "politically correct" as I thought I was. Back to lurking  have a great holiday everyone, that includes you folks from Illinois, sheesh.

Good morning! Funny stuff here...
I am headed to pick up some T-posts that I bought on CL. $1 each for 6 1/2 footers! They look good too. She also has a few gates and I might get some of them too. I guess I better clean out my car so I can fold the seats down!

Chicks are doing very well. I can hardly believe how fluffy they get when just one day old! I put a late hatcher in there this morning and it was half the size of the others! I am pretty excited about a new breed. I have always wanted this kind. (Langshans)

Frenchie--I dont know why you need that dog to look more like a poodle. A schnauzer cut is adorable!
Cind you made me laugh thinking of you riding side saddle! Did you know that women often rode astride and had a fake leg that dangled to the side to make it look like they were "seated properly?" With all that long skirting I guess you wouldnt really be able to tell. I could never have lived in all those clothes that's for sure!

I have to run...talk later! TerriOtryingtolosethisheadache

CS, I am a displaced resident from IL........ and I get it.

We won't hold that against you, Mellie.I swear.
