Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Rberry you're still kinda new here. But you should be warned that Unk has a pervy humor issue. So saying you want to "hook up" with him (male or female) could be taken the wrong way. Then the location name. Bent? Really? As in "get bent over" or was that a typo for Brent? I just needed to interject the rampant supposition of sexual connotation that is more easily attached in posts to and from Unk.

Hi Unk! What's UP? Or down? Or needing help these days?
Heather pullleaseee,,,,,Just how long has it been since you have been to a meeting?????

(I can't wait until CC gets home, she can tell you to get BENT for me)
ETA: Mel fyi Jim is quite content with his shaft and I would have no reason to "borrow" it

But remember, Jim's shaft had some problems. Needed some shimming. Was rusty from misuse and some other tragic malady. I think he lubed it up and it's working ok, but not much life left in it???

My hen hatched out 9 Guinea keets yesterday... taking them up North with us Wed and a lady from Eagle River is coming to our cabin to get them.

Frenchtoast- I think I met that same lady in that fancy SUV. Was it a white or ivory colored one? She met me in Galloway last week to take some chicks to another gal in Rice Lake (she was going there to get another Yorkie puppy with a friend). Anyway she had the 2 yorkies and cocker in the SUV that I could see... Small world... (yes, she was from Wausau too)

Off all this week and headed north for some fishing over the long weekend. Have a great 4th everyone!

wowser !!

Unka Dan,, I did get the small tiller started late this afternoon,, I think it was just flooded.. after sitting a couple of hours, it started ,, first pull .. runs like a top.. easy on the arms and back, too.. I think it was a good $13.53 spent,,

we transferred all the chicks and keets and even a few poults from the guinea coop brooder to one of the big outside brooder pens.. there were a lot more in there than I thought.. we did not have time to count as we went, but I estimate about 80 babies.. maybe tomorrow I can get a "group" shot of them .. assorted babies, ages from a few days to about 4 weeks..

have Marlene's and Jim P"s guineas hatching right now.. have them in two different hatchers to keep them separate..

Dora is improving a little each day.. today she spent most of the day outside.. been about 2 months since that happened..

Who is this lady from Wausau with the dogs in her car ?

UnkaDan, you cannot borrow my shaft, I use it almost every day..

the peppers in the greenhouse are spreading out so much, I can't get a hoe in between them..
that's OK, since there are no weeds to speak of..

DD#1 volunteered to come and help put up the last half of the purlins.. after that, I still have some plants to put in the GH..

I think tonight is a good night to have a couple of brewskies ..

I have to tell you this.. The puppy, aka Puppy, is too dumb to push the screen door open to let himself out,,, but he taught himself how to open the patio door screen to let himself in and out..

The lady in the SUV's (I remember now, it is a Denali) (sp) name is Lisa.

Been a long day. Got home from the clinic at around3;30pm... took a nap in the van before we headed down to the feed store.

Cali (we think that is her name, at least for now.... pulled my bedspread into her kennel whie I was gone today... Had stuffing all over the place.

I'm going to hit the hay for tonight... I'm bushed...

Oh VickyW, I stopped at the house with the chicks for sale north of Wausau. They are from Sunny Side.... Some special blacks, browns and some white birds with black marks on wings... $3 each.. Straight run.

More tomorrow... I'm falling asleepppp... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hi All!

Hope all you going somewhere have fun!

Cute Pics.!

Personally, I hate giving away broody hatched chicks do soon, she worked so hard to hatch them then doesn't get to be a mom. Of course those 2 Doms couldn't care less about the chicks. Storkey, on the other hand.... they are 3/4 her size and she still tries to "tuck them in" at roost time!

Well, so much for Bio security! Got up and wen I went to check on the new hen.... she wasn't there! Looked for her and she was happily pecking away near the deck along with 2 of the guineas! I guess young son thought she wanted out.

Checked her butt for the 3rd time, no, mites, lice or leakage. Maybe the loss of feathers was just her getting picked on. No egg from her yet. Not sure how old she is but son said they said she just started laying. Her comb looks like it got a tad frost bit at one point so I think she went trough the winter.

Made Stuffed peppers for supper... they were pretty big but I could have made a couple more.... very good!

Night All!
