Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi ALL!

Guess all that I wanted to say about dogs, has been said so....Yep... What they said! LOL

FT,,, Yep, get some cranberry caps. You should start feeling better within hours. Drink lots of water too! Even wen you feel better, if you still have antibiotics left, take them. Glad you only get them now and then. I had them so bad, so often I had to have surgery! I won't even attempt to describe my hell! Let's just say it was 70% of what killed my first marriage. How's your stump doing? Blisters healing I hope.

On a brighter note...
Love the Kitty Pics!!!

Cute chickies too!

Sclark... Nice coop! Good job! I love to build things but my saws and most tools are buried right now.

CC.... All that beating you head on that wall could cause permanent damage you know.. Guess we'll have to watch you closely for awhile.

vicki... cute pic/saying!

Bl4.... Maybe you should get that robin used to the camera now so she doesn't freak when you take pics. My DH works 10+ hours a day too... and weekends! It sucks! I feel so bad for him sometimes. Hope yours can cut down soon.

I like Alton and "Good Eats" too! I like how he explains WHY thinks cook and react the way they do too.

Too hot and muggy for me to do much. Can't be out for long. Oldest son isn't doing well in it either. He can hardly walk even with his walker. Poor Guy. My 2nd son came over with a ..... ****!!!!! OK... just got back... Something knocked down the screen to the coop!!! Rudy was barking and I let him out. By the time I got out there a few guineas and a hen were out! Didn't see anything in or around the coop. I'll have to look better in the light. It may have been a guinea that didn't make coop time and wanted in. I hope so! Anyway... 2nd son came over with his old lawn tractor to use this summer. Luckily it seems to be cutting the HAY! Yes, it it hay in about 1/2 of an acre! I save feed bags so I think I will bag some up if it says dry enough! The girls will like it this winter!

Well, hope the coop is quiet the rest of the night..... night all!

It's raining!!!!!!! I hope this cuts the humidity somewhat, sleeping tonight has been a b!tch!!!

Robin, I will try to find the site I used for determining the age of the jars. It has been a few years..... I wonder why I do not burn so quickly??? You would think having an Eng/Czech/Irish background I would.....

OK the phone is ticking me off.... Back to bed.

There. I'm first.

No rain here yesterday. Just a short sprinkle that only made things worse. Drove to town early to pick up some stuff at FF and trip to wally world (it was raining in Antigo). Wow, by the time we were heading back north the traffic going south on 45 was one solid line. The threat of rain must have started them all out early. It was only 10 am . Don't usually get down here till noon or so.
Sorry so many are having trouble in this heat (me too-stupid drugs). I had the last five episodes of Grey's anatomy saved saved on my DVR for just such a day so me and puppy spent most of the day in my recliner with the fan.

AMY - I had a hen sneezing for the past two weeks. Nothing else. Still eating, looking good, no discharges etc. And no one else started so I just watched her close. Yesterday only heard one sneeze, then nothing. Fine this morning. I guarantee there was no dampness/mold in my coop but I did do a complete clean out on Friday. Didn't find anything unusual but???

Got a good rain finally overnight so no watering today, :weee. Maybe take a play day when it gets hot later and enjoy the air conditioning at Mole.

Everyone stay safe and your critters too in this heat, ok??? And FRENCHIE, take care of yourself and hopefully you feel better soon. Yes from me too on the cranberries.

Thanks for your nice comments. I love building things to. Few years back me and my oldest daughter built our barn. 32x18 with a loft. Has 3 stalls for horses and what was the tack area is now yet another chicken coop. I then added another building on 14x28 which was the tack building but now mainly storage. I salvaged most of the materials from a distant relative of my husband's whose barn fell down. Most of the new coop is sided with those barn boards I had left. Also built a 20x30n pole shed I traded the winch off my truck for, the 20x32 addition on my house and my garage. Im getting quite a bit slower with my health but I need stuff done around here and noones jumping to help. Basically I love power tools of all kinds. I do most of my own mechanic work also. Besides I find it very rewarding doing all these things for myself and teaching my kids also. (When they wanna learn)

FT: That seems like a good deal on the pool at FF. I think its definately worth getting the Ultra frame-a lot more durable sides....and so far this saltwater filter has been a DREAM! No more constant testing and adding a lil of this and that over and over again. Just put in the bags of salt, turn on pool filter, wait 24 hrs turn on the saltwater filter and set the time/schedule you want them to run and viola! Its all automated

Came home from our trip ( 4-5 days) at the cabin in Leech Lake and hit some nasty traffic...the 5 hr drive turned into more like 7 hrs. Came home to find front door wide open and house cats scattered all over outside. (DD19 left front door unlocked and our dog gets scared of thunder and opens it and meanders on in) so spent the first 2 hrs home (7-9 pm) looking for the cats, trying to cool down the coop, before finally unpacking showering etc at 10 pm. And now back to work :p Fun weekend though....boat, swimming, and SUNSHINE.

Speaking of canning, Chickenships step mom made some killer rhubard jelly-going to get the recipe and try and make sure possibly this weekend.

The light rain this morning is sure cooling every thing off. We needed the heat break. I hope to finish the roof today. I am off to F&F later this morning to get a few bales of wood chips. Those chicks should be hatching out in 8 days and the second shipped batch is a week behind them. I have 6 Black Orpington eggs in the incubator that will hatch this week too. I should be full of chicks for the summer.

My cuckoo Marans is still not laying. She was hatched NYD. She has been red for a month and no sign of nest interest. I am a bit impatient. I sure hope the two cuckoo egg I received from Terri O hatches out a male.

Good morning! It is hot--we installed the room unit yesterday but DH didnt fill in the back with insulation...everything half-a$$ed around here...Stacy...I NEED you! LOL!

THis just amazes me...I can build little things but buildings not so much! You are my hero!

I think I am heading to the garden where I work after chores this morning--DH is planning on fixing the toilet...so "WE" have to clean out the hallway to the basement bathroom (in which he capped off the shower and toilet because they were leaking) so he can get at the underside of the main floor bathroom and see just what is rotted away under there. Yeah--I dont care to be here for that at all!
So now we have had three things break in the span of a week...first the water heater, then the refrigerator and then the toilet.....let's see; heat, cold, wet; all taken, maybe things will settle down! I sure hope so....

I better get outside and start the day...hazy here, I guess it was raining earlier this morning...yup, another humid one for the books!
Have a great day all--TerriO

(PS) for the person looking for Ameraucanas: I have several babies at Cuties place (probably need to get them home soon...done playing with them yet?) and some that are broody hatched here. Send me a PM!
