Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Oh Frenchie... With your obsession on being naked everywhere, I would think the idea of fancy corn rows and beads (a little Bo Derek down there) would be kind of appealing.

Can't you all just picture Sandi drying off naked on her pontoon now, all fancified???

Good Saturday Morning, your welcome. :D

good morning, the babies all look good out in their new digs.. I still have 7 or 8 to take out there that were hatched later yesterday..

to whomever asked.. my chick TV is/are square plexiglas fish aquariums .. I line the bottom with bed liners like those used for old people; fuzzy side up .. a light bulb for heat and cover it with a screened frame.. for extra heat, cover the cover with a towel..

I was notified from the executive officer, (Annie) that the lawn WILL get mowed..
and the junk around the yard will be disposed of.. old microwave ovens etc etc .... I should get somebody to come here and dig me a large deep hole.. No, not for her.. but then again .......

It is really nice outside this morning.. I was not bothered by mosquitoes at all.. Too bad I don't have any ambition to do the rototilling .. I need to go get a cuppa, first..

Out for chores--have a great day everyone!

Wow this break in the weather is sure nice. The chickens like it too. I am glad I put the brinsea out and plugged it in for the new chicks last night. It actually dropped to 70 and this morning they were all under it snuggling. The skeeder were out but not as bad as last night. I sold a bunch of Orpingtons to a friend of DH's a few months ago, and they never put them under heat, needless to say they died the first night. Now DH wants me to replace them.

Not sure I want to give more of my birds to someone who has little knowledge of chicks. They have chickens, they just never had new baby's.

how many are you supposed to replace? I can see doing it for your DH friend, ONCE, but they have to be educated first.. or give them chicks who do not need heat ?? I would not replace any more than 4 ..

Good Morning People !!

YOU ARE VERY WELCOME !!!!!! Of course the change to nice weather is all my fault !!!! As soon as I picked up my swimming pool the weather did a 180 !!!

Now all we need is some rain.... Think I'll go to get the van washed !!! lol

ET went over to the cabin. Getting the battery out of the pontoon boat to charge it and is raplacine the ignition switch because he lost the key to the old switch.

Keeping my fingers crossed he installs it correctly. Nieces hubby said if not connected right it can fry the wiring in the boat??? Don't know how much truth there is to that but it would be ET's luck....

Woke up this AM having to P P .... it seemed like it was freezing in here... Checked the thermostat and it was 71....wow, in winter that would be to warm for me !!!!

Heather, those of us that are over the hill may not have enough for cornrows...just sayin......

OH and Jim, yep I use those pads to for under baby chicks. Only I buy the dog pee pads, much cheaper I think. Paid $16.99 at FF for 100 when they were on sale. Other wise $10 a 50 pack at Walgreens. Won't pay any more then that, they range in price so you have to shop wisely..

OH and we bought some mesh tarps at Menards the other day in the bag sale. Said they work as shade. Then yesterday when I went to Walmart they had some shade material on Clearance 1/2 off so I bought 12 rolls of that. So will have to compare the two and see what we like best for above the coops.
Oh and ET said there are about 15 baby guineas out there today. Shoot, guess that means putting in a chick TV again too !!!

I have people waiting for the Guineas......sure hope they take care of them and give them heat. I normally don't sell chicks, ducklings or keets......I worry to much.

Oh thank you SO much Frenchie for your exposé on female hair loss that is not so unwanted...

Yes, I want to gag and giggle at the same time...

Then we move on to talking pittle pads and the conversation is complete. You old folks have it rough.
