Birds are good albeit warm. I put the 12 older pullets in with the 12 older pullets. Peace has resumed once more.

the 5 toed buckeye is getting to be quite the crower and looker. He and his EE pullet friend are next up for incorporation into the flock.

lastly, the 3 buff orps and a black amer. are hanging with the hen who thinks she hatched them along with the 2 bronze turkeys. They are all the same age, but the turkeys are almost as big as momma, who is a cukoo marans so they look more related than the chicks.

I will try to get some pics to post.

You were in Evansville and didn't let me know? That is just a hop, skip and a jump from my house. I could have brought you GF flour from the bulk store too. Who's place? They might be a relative.

TO..... I get what you mean about the songs going through your head. What happened to me last week. I was cutting the grass with the Z mower and had conversations going on in my head as to what I was going to write about on Cheeseheads....... Got caught up in my thoughts and cutting under my apple tree I rammed into the huge branch of the apple tree (that didn't give, probably 8") and my arms kept pushing forward on the bars and my head stayed in back of the tree trunk....... And the stupid part was I kept pushing on the bars, urging the thing to go forward !!!!! **** Lucky I've here to tell about it !!!!! That HURT with a Capital H not Capitol! A few days later ET asked me what that huge bruise was on my shoulder......

A guy just called me asking if I wanted some hay for $3.50 off the field. I've bought from him in the past but his bales aren't that big. Funny, cause he said "this is Fred" I didn't remember his name but wanted to ask him if he was "Big Balls" Which is who I thought it was, his email address starts with Big Balls !!! Wasn't sure if it was him so I didn't ask. I just said, are you on hwy 64 ?? Yep it was Big Balls !! aka Fred
Funny, you would think someone with the nickname Big Balls would have Big Bales !!! LOL
Said he would have to get more after it was put in the barn. I called the guy in Merrill again, he never calls back. The guy I used to get hay from for $1.75. Ticks me off, he was suppose to call me when he started cutting.

Still no word from the MA boat guy.... I'm gonna give him bad review on Ebay!!!! Poor customer service. When I ordered the part I asked if they could check to see if it was the right part for our boat. Never an email or reply back. *** !!! When I worked for ATT...... YOU DID YOUR JOB RIGHT.... PERIOD..... !!!!

Unk.... the wires that come up to the switch are in a bundle and go under the boat. Might have to go under there with the swim suit and look around... or naked but the old neighbor would probably have a heart attack !!! Boy that guy is sharp as a tack. His wife passed about 5 years ago and he has had a few lady friends already. Has a new one in Rhinelander and he says he goes there all the time.... His eyes light up when you ask him about her..... H3ll mine don't light up any more !!!!

Ok, time to get going, clean the duck ponds, try to find the baby keets and catch them. The two in the house are peeping non stop..... Don't know what decibels they're not their or there peeping at but it is driving me insane (no comment Jim or Heather)

Oh and TO.... ET just uses the word Give instead of Gave..... He also says He when he means She and She when he means He.... drives me nuts !!!! I think he has that back words thing going on.... dis lex us ???? Can't spell that but you know what I mean !!! In other words He has Issues !!! LOL Luv em anyway.... some of the time !!! LOL
 
ARRRGGGHHH..... just called ET on the phone and asked him if he wanted to come in the house and call the MA boat guy !!!!! Heard ducks a quacking in the background..... Then he starts yelling at me !!!!! He said he just bumped his head. I said where.... On the bald spot.... I said where ??? ..On the tower Run....... And why is it my fault ????? ............It's NOT.....I'M JUST P!$$3D !!!!!

Oh what a beautiful Morning, Oh what a beautiful Day...... I've got a husband who needs to start singing !!!

Lol or my Brahmas are laying green eggs. Ill find out soon here who the culprit is but sure I already know.

BBP, I haven't forgotten about the recipe for pumpkin butter. Just haven't found it yet.

Someone newer posted a couple questions about carrying young roo & older roo went after her & pecked her sis's hand. Yes, that is aggressive roo behavior & needs to be nipped in the bud ASAP. Otherwise, I unfortunately would have to recommend dinner, if you aren't opposed to that idea. I absolutely love animals, but there are many nice roos out there & there is no reason to have to put up with a mean one, esp. if you have kids or other people coming over/helping with chores. Sometimes they are just mean, and you sure don't want to be breeding him. I don't know if attitude is genetic or not, but if you have little ones around, why take the chance? As for your hen "quacking", are you sure she doesn't have a respiratory issue? Or is she a pullet coming into lay? They start making some odd noises when they are about to lay an egg. HTH.

Del, about those friends of DH & the chicks, I agree with Terri & Jim. I actually wouldn't give them any more until they first took the time to do the research on how to properly handle and care for chicks. Like Terri said, they are living creatures. If they are too lazy or uncaring to do the research, then do not give them any more birds, period. Or if DH might have a hissy, then give them adolescents that are feathered out & do not require heat.

Bigfam, about your black unknown chick, do you have any pics? Does it have a spot on it's head? Then it is a Dom. No spot? White on throat/chest? Very well could be a Hershey baby. I hatched out 3 Hershey eggs the first time, and one is a black orp. Must be from grandpa.

Terri & Cind about strawberries, awesome find! Our Walmart absolutely sucks in their garden dept. They never water their plants or mark them down. The jerks would rather let them die & toss them in the dumpster than reduce the price. Fish feces!

TO's arbor: I saw someone make a "hanging garden" with a pallet. They stood it up on end with the boards being horizontal, added some boards to the insides to make "shelves" or planter boxes, added dirt & planted flowers. It would work just as well with strawberries, I assume. As the plants spread, they would cover up the pallet so you wouldn't see it.
I loved Hee Haw, BTW. Gloom, despair and agony on me........... ooohhhh!
So Terri, you hosting the southern chickenstock this year? Will my camper fit in your yard?
