Um, no Terri, nothing has changed with BYC for me. Maybe your internet browser has changed it's format? I know that BYC looks way different on IE than it does with Google Chrome. Otherwise, I got nuthin'. Other than I'm large.

And that I've never wormed my chickens til a few years ago. I think Jack, who is 13, has only been wormed once? Maybe twice. I saw what looked like worms in one of my hens stools, so I chose to worm them all, then upon doing research, have made it an annual event. It may not be needed as often in our climate, but I choose to do it this way. As always, it is up to your individual discretion. I did take a fecal sample in to my vet about 5 years ago. They may not see poultry, but they will perform fecal exams for parasites, and it was less than $20.

TO - Mine hasn't changed, although awhile back it was giving me some msg about not being compatible with my browser but I never had trouble posting. Sometimes web sites test new stuff randomly on just a few users before rolling out any changes to all - or it could be just a fluke.

My gardeners were here again for a couple of days this week and they made things look so much nicer! I'm on my own with it now so I hope the weather stays nice and temperate for working outside. Did some weed wacking & trimming (and stirring up dust and pollen!) today and had some trouble with the asthma. I've got to pace myself and not try to do it all in one shot.

Feathers are everywhere these days! There's a lot of molting going on and very little laying. Barely enough eggs for my purposes and not enough to sell at the store. This coming spring I've got to get some baby chickaroos raised up! I have plenty of zucchini for baking but not enough eggs to make it happen. I'd much rather have the bread than the stir fry right now! I hope to have enough loaves frozen to last through the winter.

Have a good night, all!!

Ok TO
I will reply to your question..... No my reply box has not changed but I did have a problem with my sentences and paragraphs not having spaces no matter how many times I hit the enter button (CC !)

The icon task bar or whatever you call it was missing but now it's back ????? Nothing on the side or nothing menti
oning anything about converting to HTML ?????
Maybe something with your computer ?

Worming....... Ask 100 people .... you will get 100 different answers. I have heard of all of the above wormings.... they are all good choices. You can also use the pour on ivermectin ...... which you can get in generic brands at Fleet Farm or Farm & Fleet..... Don't know the exact dosage right now.... just a few drops for large fowl and less for bantams... just put on their shoulders, base of tail and sometimes under the wings... on the skin. I have used this for norther fowl mites but it doubles as a wormer... but not for tape worms.

Heather must have gotten her deal by now... she has calmed down !!!

Talked to my niece today who is a Nurse Practioner, she works at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, I was telling her about all of my test results... of course I didn't expect her to make any assumptions..... so we'll just wait and see.
She is 7 months PG with another little girl.... who is causing her all kinds of bumping and bouncing around !!! Can't wait for that little peanut to pop out.. She keeps reminding me to make another baby blanket like I made Addie... Addie used her so much I had to make another one for her so her mom could wash hers..... Now she won't go without both of them all the time !!!!! Guess I should make two right away for the new little tot !!!

Stopped down at my neighbors today and my new boyfriend Dex (18 months old) was picking me clovers, grass and dandelion leaves !!! So cute. His mom said ever since he's fed my donkeys grass he tries to feed all of his dogs, cats and I guess people grass too !!!

Oh, Vickw..... Yes Townline Feeds is where I go. They are wonderful people.... Ken and Carrie. I get my feed mixed any way I want it. Just ask them... I have several recipes in their files.... He is very helpful at changing the ingredients to help you reduce costs or if you want to raise the protein etc. He will mix whatever you want. Right now my mix is about 17% protein. I have showmaster sheen added (which is like manapro) and a few different ingredients then is in his mix and I pay less for my mix then his because he doesn't have to weigh each 50lb bag or put a label on it. He only requires you to order 200 lbs which is only 4 bags so that is really doable.
Plus he subtracts 3.75% for cash discount...even if you pay by check.

That guy on 45 got his chicks from Sunny Side so I'm thinking his ducks may have come from them as well. Or maybe another hatchery. All of his ducks were dead one morning and he thought a guy that he had issues with came and killed them the night before. He said the next day the guy stopped to ask him about chicks and he thought that was to suspicious because he hadn't seen the guy for a few years. Weird. He must have decided to order more ducks. He is on disability and it is his way to make a few extra dollars. Hope whatever or whoever killed his ducks doesn't appear again.

Oh TO sorry to hear about your ducks drowing. I've lost some full grown Runner ducks by drowning. They dove right into their water bucket and couldn't right themselves to get out. Knock on wood I haven't lost any more ducks to drowning... because ET never did finish their little bridges for the pools after he drove the nail in his hand with the power nailer.

Speaking of ducks... Muscovys in particular. What is a good price to sell them for ? Do people ever buy them just for eggs or pets or are they mostly sold for meat ??? If that's the case I'm not sure I could do it !!! But I have about 15, maybe more.

Still haven't gotten any more guinea keets..... And I have about half as many guineas running around.... I thought maybe all of the hens are laying someplace but I would have thought by now I'd have keets running all over !!! I mean really, Jim has hatched out how many batches ?????? I might have to get some tips from Annie in spotting Guinea nests
Well, best go get my shower in... I have to be in Rhinelander for the spay clinic by 10am.......I'm out of sleeping pills so this is not good....gonna be a long night and early morning !!!

Colton, good luck with your chickies and I hope the reshipment goes well. I am not surprised. Like I said, I lost several in several shipments. My neighbors ordered from McMurray and they had several DOA as well and their box came all smashed up as well.
You would think that they would be handled with extra care at the PO but you have to remember.... the world is full of Smart @sses !!! that have no conscious !
Ok, gonna go hop into the shower (no commen Heather).... then lurk for a while and try to get some sleep.

Night all !

Hey crab@ss you could have had no power for 3 days. So suck it up. Get yourself a stiff one.

Glad you had good coffee time Jim.

TO my browser looks exactly the same, you must need an update.

Kendra, what is digging? Your dog?

Nice to hear from you CC, Delish, MG, Irish, Colton, BBP, French, JJ, Unk,......I think that was everyone..... apologies if I accidently MISSED someone since there are 20 posts put on here daily!

My job today at work? I helped put together a grill. Dual Charcoal and gas. We are having a cookout tomorrow and the guts old grill were shot ( it was never stored or used more than 3x a year) so the company purchased a new one. They could have fixed the old one for $100 or less and come out ahead. The old one was Stainless Steel. Idiots......

So tomorrow for work I get to play Chef for a while. Yay.

I think it is sad that you think it is sad that she thinks it is sad that she never had a duckling drown.

Sally sat on the Seashore .........

This could go on and on! Good night!
