Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Jim- thanks for posting. My dad was wondering if you had the older one with the one wheel (or two small close together), but based on the pic you don't. It's still a nice tractor!

Here is another one of Ollie with the loader fully extended..

the square tanks on the front are the hydraulic reservoirs,, the pump sits on the frame in front of the radiator between the reservoirs..

this tractor did not have a kit , like the 8N did for a front mounted hydraulic pump.. so I had to make the parts and modify the crank pulley to accept the pump's drive shaft..

as always, you can click on the picture for a larger view..

Twizz- I see a hen

Nice to see you back

Hi Vicki -
Thanks for the condolences. He was only 66. He had AML. He was diagnosed back in August of last year. Went through all the chemo and the last biopsy that they did in March showed ZERO leukemic cells. The doctor was shocked that it came back so quickly. They gave him 3 different chemo's over the course of the 1st 5days he was in the hospital. His platlets, hemoglobin, and immune system never recovered. The fungal infection in his lungs started to take over and then the doc told us that the reason his numbers never recovered is b/c the chemo didn't work this time. Hi lived 2 weeks after we found out about his infection. Didn't you have leukemia at one point also? I thought I read that previously?
I am searching for a couple of more hens. :) I am down to 5! :(

Not on dial up anymore.. but when I was, I could load pictures faster than this google chrome/outlook
does your puter need a clean up?

I know mine bogs down a buch after awhile with no cleaning up the cookies and history.

and here's a joke for the office working crowd:

Q:how many IT people does it take to change a light bulb?

A: have you tried turning it off and turning it back on yet?

I did a clean up on Friday.. that did nothing for picture posting..

there might be global warming, and there might not .. what corked me was the video of the poor bear on that ice cube .. somebody was making their own "facts" with that picture.. as if that was the last piece of ice available anywhere. my question is,, where was the person taking the picture standing ?? and if that bear was is such dire straights, what did the people do to help it ??

I have guinea keets hatching today..

Jelinek, what kinds of hens are you looking for ?

we have ripe tomatoes every day.. but I must say, these 25 plants are not producing near as many as my 6 plants from last year did.. these cold nights must be retarding the blossoms..

Annie made a raspberry pie today.. prolly the last one for this year.. she said that the blackberries are doing great .. and they are super sweet..

as for the rest of my comments,, CRS

Anyone have a good solution fr keeping those Japanese beetles off my fruit and veg?
Yes you buy one of the Japanese beetle traps and put it in your neighbors garden... Sorry just a joke, but i do buy the traps and put them as far away from the garden and things i dont want eaten. Then we dump them in the firepit and poof they are gone

One of my older gardening friends told me those traps actually attract more beetles from outside the area so you may end up with more beetles on your plants before they make it to the trap. Even if you move it away from the target plants, they fly over it from one direction in order to get to the trap. (Same goes for the electric bug zappers.) I had some on a little mini rose and I just kept knocking them off and squishing them. They seem to be gone now and the plant is doing fine.
