Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Amy, I know it is the last thing on your mind. But when I was prego with blake, I gained much more weight that time. I was miserable. Rough sex. That worked for us. He was out 4 hours later.
I feel for you!

Thanks I will check that out today.

You sound miserable. I remember my wife being the same way. Our son was born on Aug 20 and I swear she was overheating the whole 9 months with him. she used to ask me at least once a week "You really feel like this all the time?"
Aug 20 is our wedding anniversary.

Yes, its like having an on-board furnace. It's the only time DH gets chilly and I don't. At least being a SAHM I have the luxury of walking around in shorts and sports bra all day.

Long walks seem to jump start things for me. Lots of Braxton Hicks going on, shouldn't be too very long. Unless big meanie BigFam has put a hex on me to go past due date (sept 10). She doesn't believe my belly is big enough.

No, Delisha, I'm not selling all of my orps. Just the lavenders. I would still like to breed chocolate and black. But my bantam chocolate hen slipped a tendon or something. She can't stand anymore.

TerriO - that sweet potato recipe sounds great. And I do have coconut oil on hand so I may try it soon.

DH got one that had been returned to the store but never used. It was 1/3 the original price, I think he found it at Best Buy. It's a flat screen Toshiba. Space is at a premium in our house so having the TV up on the wall instead of the floor is quite nice.

Heather, no advice for the birds, but is there a beauty school near you? When my sis was in school in Appleton we would get haircuts, pedis and manis for super cheap because the students are still learning. Save ya some $$.

I remember the cat dissection in HS advanced bio. A bit sad, but sooooo interesting. The preservative odor was pretty overpowering though, you could smell it up and down the halls during that segment every year.

We also did crawfish, worms, frogs, clams, and I think rats.

This heat can go right back where it came from. Every day I have cankles and sausage toes within hours of getting out of bed. Even rolling over in bed is a production at this point. Baby is welcome any day now................
I can definitely feel for you Amy, my last son was born Aug 29th, other kids are jul 23, jun 5, may 12 and Feb21(not sure how he ended up so far off the track) July son was a miserable year in 91, the heat was so bad I was swimming right up until the minute I headed to the ER. It will all be over soon and you will hardly remember how miserable you were.

Delisha your cockerel is georgous!

John I purchased my last tv from Geeks.com about 5 years ago and it's still going strong. Very reduced prices, cheaper than Tiger who I usually purchase from.

Since I'm too sore to do anything constructive around here today I decided to take some chicken pics, I will share once I get them converted back to jpeg as I shoot in raw form.

Should we start calling your Forest??
Just dont make me RUN... But if I could lose just 20 pounds I'd be happy heck I was happy to hear on the radio today that they changed middle age to 53...So what if I am a tad over the middle everyday above ground is a good day!

As for Sweet Potatoes... when my kids were babies they loved it so much the soles of the feet were orange from the carotene... I have also heard sweet potatoe pie is better than pumpkin... sometime I am going to try it. Wonder if you can grow sweet potoatoes like potatoes in those bins?

Big Family/Heather: Still hope Friday works out for you, looking forward to meeting you in person. Hmmm if it doesnt work out, maybe we will come up for the Cow Chip throw. Back in the 70's my BIL won the contest and got a trip to Beaver OK for the national toss... One thing about cow chips in OK I think those cows eat trees they were filled with slivers

Amy-I must have missed your posting about your pregnancy-but I gained 57 lbs and am 5'1 with Meghann LOL...couldnt put my hands around my tummy or get behind the steering wheel!

Talking dogs: Found out our dog has Lymes disease yesterday so shes on a whole boatload of antibiotics and supplements. It was actually good news as we were beginning to think she was developing hip problems due to age....so crossing our fingers this does it for her. Found out some interesting information-if ticks are removed within 48 hrs they usually wont get Lymes disease. Flickas been on a tick med (frontline I think) so it must have been early this spring that she got it. It takes 3-4 months for symptoms to develop.

Had a vaca day today-we were supposed to go to the MN state fair but it was too hot-going to try for Sunday. I spent the day working on my new website-3 hours jsut to get one pop up window script to work ARGH!

Here's more photos, I hope everyone likes.

My 2 Blue Wheaton Americanas

Joses last batch of chicks he's raised. LF Cochins, SS x BO, Black Orp, a Silkie, Lemony and Pretty Boy

Speckled Sussex coop, so many pretty colors.

This is Mary Lou my 6 yr old SS, she's here yelling at me to let her free range!

Faye(left) Eda(right) my broodies with their cute chicks, it's nice how they pen together and don't fight and take care of each others chicks.

And last of all, picture quality not good as it was taken with my phone. This is Ms. Peepers, she's a BO who is about 1/3 the size of the others but I decided to keep her as she's so cute. She's sure enjoying the fan in my hobby room.
