Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Can't say. Just check the news about a chemical facility. We have the TMJ chopper flying by.....
OSHKOSH - Winnebago County is evacuating areas of Oshkosh due to a chemical spill at Hydrite Chemical Company.
The company is located at 191 West 28th Avenue. The 911 center in Winnebago County issued the following warning -
"If you are south of 28th avenue, please immediately evacuate from the area until further notice. If you are north of 28th avenue, please shelter in place by staying inside and shutting all windows and doors. Also turn off your air conditioning. Please go to South Park that is located across the street from the middle school to receive futher information. Do not go to the school."
We will have the latest update on this evacuation notice as it comes in.

Hello fellow Cheeseheads,

So pleased to find this thread. I just joined BYC today. I'm new to chicken keeping, but so far loving it! Must admit I'm a little nervous about my first winter with the girls, but with any luck we will all make it through.

I have 4 (by ordinance) hens (Speckled Sussex). Wish I could have more, they are so sweet! Oh well, at least we do have a chicken ordinance. I'm pretty surprise how many towns in Wisconsin don't allow a small flock.

Anyhow, just thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Hi all--welcome hen madame! You can find some good info here on our thread! I agree it is a shame that you cant have "just a few" more birds! (at least you can have some--right BL4!?)

Put my roos on CL and awoman answered that she owuld buy them for $3 each...I said no; she countered with $5 each? THinking about it...so many less mouths to feed...I need to send an email.

DH has gone to the store for lettuce...BLTs for supper! MMMM--cant believe I dont have lettuce!

So BL--did you kick the tank and make a crack in it???

Hello..

Glad you stopped by..I like Sussex too..I have two of them right now, very sweet girls.
The cold is not hard on chickens..its the humidity. Keep them dry and free of drafts and they will be great!!

Still no luck on the finding chicken front had a few leads but to no avail also thought I had a chance of finding my girls also to no avial....
I am sorry..can you be more specific? Have you lost your birds..they ran away? Are you looking to purchase chickens? I am lost and probably missed your original post.

Welcome to the group!!

Tenosynovitis ?

If you have respiratory issues in your flock it might be Mycoplasma Synoviae and with time will recover and be immune.

Or plain ole gout if she is not laying and you have her on layer feed
