Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi all...that chicken barn looked pretty clean! I cant imagine that that waterer wouldnt get all full of sh!t from birds sitting on it! It looked good though....although those birdies dont get outside they look like they have a much better life than the ones South of town here...(Crystal Farms)

Dan--If you watch the video on the link it shows a man that has pastured poultry and it looks like he has that many birds! I am not sure where he is though.
I read something else om FB about this new regulation. It was saying something about being able to call your eggs free range if they could go out on this little porch hooked onto the coop. Of course everything would be totally enclosed so the wild birds wouldnt "give the chickens salmonella." Oh brother...I would eat my eggs raw but I sure wouldnt trust any from Crystal Farms raw!

Nice new toy Ang! WOW...yeah, those things are usually way too big to get into any of our coops! I can barely get my wheelbarrow into mine! (in fact I cant in the big one!)

I have to go out and get chores done...thhen I am heading to an early bed time.
Nighties! TerriO

FYI - If anyone's interested, I just got a pretty good deal on oxine. Gallon jug + 1 lb of citric acid for $24.99 and $6.99 shipping which is actually less than I paid on shipping for the jug I bought (elsewhere) last year. I got this current deal from Revival Animal Health.

Welcome Back Zeke!!!

Let us know how the hatch is going Delisha.

Sorry TO that you are under the weather!

I haven't had enough time to check in and so I've been scanning (I hope I haven't missed anything important).

Mommas have taught the babies to roost and are keeping them warm. I'll try to get some current pics uploaded of them with the good camera.

We've been staying busy lately with hauling in the harvest, canning tomatoes and apples, and general house repairs (gutters, garage door). I still have the carrots, brussels, squash, cukes, and tomatoes producing. We still need to get the hops cut and collect the harvest.

Take Care & Stay Warm!

Ah Man..... I'm Jealous !!! That is so nice !!!!! I would give my eye teeth for a tractor like that !!!! Nice.

What actually is he going to use it for ? You don't have horses do you ? That would work so well for horsey $hit !!!! I really really really need that tractor..... My favorite colors too !!!

That did it.... I'm going to go buy some lotto tickets or hit the Casino !!! Or rob a bank!!! I'm drooling here !!!! Congrats Angibubs !! Does she have a name yet?

Hi All!

FT... Hey, giving away the house is cheaper than paying someone to raise it and take away the rubble. Hopefully the cost of moving it will be less than building for someone else. Could be a win, win!

BBP....Good luck on the eggs!

Angie... You sure know how to make people want! LOL

CS.... It's so cute when they start to roost and mamma still wants to keep them warm! Storkey is like that, chicks almost as big as her , adn she still tries to "tuck them in!"

Well, I have a bunch of pis$sed off chickens tonight! I closed off the access to the loft area! They were not happy! I don't mind them roosting there, but I can't crawl up there everyday to get eggs.
Saw the baby turkey trying to fly today.... so cute! Lots of flapping for about 3 1/2 feet, 18 in. off the ground!

That's it.... Night All!
