Very good advice here. It is amazing how well animals do without interference from their well-meaning owners.I do not give my bird drugs unless i absolutely have to. I take fecal into the vets office once a year. I have had one positive test. I feed my birds garlic, pumpkin, BOSS, oregano, and Fermented feed. Those things promote good intestinal flora and keep the birds well balanced and keeps the worms from taking over. With a fecal and knowledge on what it is I am up against, I will not be giving ineffectual drugs and make the system worse instead of better. Drugging willy nilly can throw off the birds and the cycle continues threw the life of your whole flock. You end up drugging and treating forever and it never stops.![]()
This is just my opinion. and it works for my personal flock in the area I live in. I free range my flock and do not confine in small areas so it might not work for someone else.
