OMG Cuties !! He is a cutie !!!! So fill me in on the details !! My internet is so dang slow I will never be able to catch up !! I tried but it takes me forever to log on let alone turn a page. Are you looking for a companion for him ? If it were me I'd get something a bit bigger so you kids have something to grow into. So tell me more !!

I've been hanging on Facebook lately. Also still trying to find my neighbors horses some homes. I won't get into detail but I did manage to find a home for her four unbroken ones that she was going to bring to a sale. I'm sure they would have gone to a meat buyer.

Now she has 4 more that are trained to either ride or/and drive that she is going to drive all the way to Indiana to a sale. They are taking an Amish friend and his horses to the sale. It is making me sick. *** !!!! Why not sell cheap to a good home. She just got a free Morgan Mare that drives from a friend and is bringing that one. She said to make an offer, just needed to get rid of horses. I offered her some $$ for it so we could take our time to rehome it. It was good until the Amish said it was broke well to drive. Now she wants hundreds if not a $1000 for it. That's one that is going to the sale. This time of year there are thousands of horses at the sales and HUNDREDS will be going to the meat buyers for 29 cents a lb. Then sold overseas for $12 lb. Want to educate yourself about Slaughter and Auctions go to Do a google for Animal Angels !!! I was up for hours last night reading !!! I am just sick inside. Did I ever say I HATE people !!

Ok, gonna go do something with all of the Apples ET brought in the house today. Finally got our pontoon boat off the lake yesterday !!! That was an adventure. I think we need to sell it..... it might just end up killing one of us !!! LOL Oh did I ever tell ya all that I think I found the key that supposedly was lost.... Never did go fishing with it..... And I only swam in my new pool times !!! Need to take that down too. Guess there will be no Indian Summer !!!

Oh yeah...the doubles are ba-ack! I am sorry but I HAD to block you on FB...all the shares of those poor horses when I cant do anything to help is really taking it's toll on me! I just did a rescue of another dog today...the woman was very sad to have to give her up...the rescue had no room/no fosters, so I said I would take the dog. She is pretty nice so far. Sleeping in her kennel right now. DH wasnt too upset when I told him the alternative for the poor thing! Tomorrow I will post some picks. She is a Parson's Russel/Airedale cross I think...I will see what you all think.

Is it ever a blustery October eve tonight...I have a sticker that I have used in scrapbooks that has an October rhyme about the wind...I should look it up; so fitting for tonight. Glad of the wood stove...not so glad of the price of filling the oil tank today! I might have to learn how to operate a chainsaw so I can go and scrounge wood from the treelines...Cripes $3.69/gal! Really? The iol guy said, "well, I havent been here since January!" Yeah, that means we have used 250 gallons of fuel ON HEAT since then. We just turned the furnace on on Sunday! Must have been a really chilly spring.

OK--TIme for me to hit the hay...the new dog isnt whining....I am thinking that is a good sign!

Hey TO, I understand about the Facebook. I think another person that I was getting tons of stuff from finally defriended me too which is good, I was getting tons of stuff that I didn't need or care to see.... ie just babble about her day.... I wanted to defriend her but didn't have the guts.
I'm hoping my neighbor gets the message about the horse slaughter !!! I doubt it though. For some people horses are just livestock.
It's really taking it's toll on me too.
As long as we are on the FB subject does anyone know how to quit getting advertisements or junk posts. I don't see a defriend button or ??? I really don't like FB.... still to confusing to me. Tried to share my new nieces pictures on there and it didn't work. Can they block who I share the pictures with ? Hmmmm I give up trying to figure things out.

Happy Aniversary TO..... How in the H3LL did you make it 29 years. It will just be 10 for us in January..... shaking my head..... can't figure that one out either !!

No progress on the apples.... have to get the canning jars out of the dish washer but first had to do dishes that were in the sink. No counter space at this house and it doesn't help now after we bought a pizza oven which is now taking up the only counter space I had...... so tomorrow flip the dishes around somehow !!
I'm just pooped out lately..... Still need to get down to Racine and see my new baby. I got Addie's pony saddle in the mail today. Now I need to order a saddle pad and cinch. Addie wants pink. Always thought I should have blue on a boy pony. Hope he doesn't mind pink !! Maybe I should get purple ??? LOL

Can't wait to hear about your mini Cuties. Does he ride or drive? To bad you are so far away too !!!

Has anyone over by the Butternut area seen the news lately. There is black & white pony that is missing. His name is Chico. He belongs to a 12 yr old girl. She saved up her 4H money to buy him. She had a birthday party 10 days after she brought him home. A friend was riding him and the pony started running full speed. I guess she took her hands off the reins and jumped off. The pony kept going. This happened Friday Oct 11th. So the pony was fully tacked up. They have done searches with planes, choppers and on foot. Tomorrow they are going on horseback but I guess the area is covered in thick brush and hard to get through by horse.
Then some scum bag reported that they were canoeing and spotted along a river bed. The father went out and searched the area yesterday.....turns out it was a joke that they saw it !!! This poor girl is crushed. The parents feel guilty because they didn't realize that when you bring a horse/pony home it should be kept in a secure area for a min of 2 weeks so it gets to know where is home.
The pony was purchased from the Spencer area and they are thinking it might be trying to go home. I didn't realize horses/ponies would do that. Keeping that poor pony in my thoughts and prayers that it is found safe and sound. There was a horse that was lost up here from it's own property and it never was found. Very swampy area.
I'll find the picture and article and post on here so you all can share. It is a very cute pony, with a huge white blaze, you would for sure recognize it if you saw him.

FT.... So sad about the horses. That poor pony, alone and lost. With full tack he could get caught up on all kinds of stuff too. And you got some big predators too.

Hope it has a good ending.

I have done that to a few people that act like they need to post everything they do all day. Or the ones that only use it as a place to whine and complain about their lives.

I had to put in my notice yesterday at work. It made me tear up a little. I finally accepted a job offer. Not doing accounting, but as a veterinary assistant! I am so excited for the opportunity! Its what I've always wanted to do .
