I got 5 IBs from Hurley awhile back. They've been shuttled around the place in the chicken tractor to keep them safe and to get the others used to them. They fit in beautifully.

Hi all....slept REALLY late today! I think it was all that laughing yesterday! The best part was when Vicky was snorting at the end of her laugh...she has the best laugh. I thought I might have to sponge up the chair seat after she got up!

What fun with good friends...and today I get to see Cuties and her gang! I heard that they wanted Brownie to come along to meet me...wouldnt that be a site? You are driving down the freeway and there is a mini horse with his head out the window! Cant wait to see them again...it is sunny and kinda warmish here today...great "jumping on the trampoline" weather!

Well--I have to get going...let out the critters and get to work. Can you believe I had 3 other offers for today? I hate working on weekends!

Well it's back to the muzzle for the dog. He just could not help himself after a month of ignoring the birds, I saw him walking around with the wheaten Ameraucana hen in his mouth. She had a bad hip and could not run, so she would squat down when chased(like with a rooster), but was healthy, and the only one I had. GRRRR.

If not, Sclark, Delisha says that my roo, Big Red, would be a great roo to add to your BLRW line. He has a great body and color. I left him at TO's house which is really close to you compared to where I live. Terri said that she'd be willing to meet you if necessary.

Ok just wanted to clear something up. This blrw idea is new to me, but I have given it some thought at realize now after looking at my roo "Blue" that yours has much better mahogany coloring. I would still keep my roo and breed him to my dark mahogany pullet and the new one to my lighter female in hopes to darken her up. I only have a hen and pullet due to losing the splash from heat stroke(previous owners fault) With this in respect I am in a hunt for a few more blrw hens or pullets and am willing to pay a fair price. And with that I have many chickens for sale. From laying hens to chicks. If you know of anyone in my area looking have them contact me. I am selling them from $10 to $1 and cockerels(Lemon Cuckoo Orp, Black Split, BO x SS and more) are free. I have mainly Orps(Buff, Lavender, Black Split and some Barnyard) and Dottes(Black, Blue, GL and BLRW crossed with previous mentioned) with the exception of 2 Maran laying hens and some bantams(Cochin, frizzle, BO cross, Blue Silkie, Lavender Cochin all hens or pullets). I can send photos thru text or email. I have what I was told a SQ BO Bantam Roo and a pullet from him as his mate I lost to the dog incident. I can also give a detailed list of what I have to offer to anyone interested. I have a guy coming to look at them Tuesday but he didn't say how many he was looking for. If you know of anyone just looking for laying hens that are strictly pet quality, I have quite a few. I have decided to just stick with my BLRW and my Speckled Sussex and a few of my older hens for laying. Just too many colors combos within the breeds.

Correction---he is now at Cuties' place! She said she would take him and keep him until arrangements can be made to get him West. I was mistaken and thought that SClark was A LOT closer to me that she really is, albeit she is closer than you CS! I sent him with Cuties to get him that much closer. We had a great visit--her kids got to ride Commander so they were happy. They helped me plant my garlic, jumped on the trampoline and helped feed some critters. They had a good time and probably slept on the way home!

I was complaining to my guests yesterday that I hadnt seen a blue or green egg in a couple of months...yup, got a nice greenie today! I think it is Jessica's egg. She must have heard me complaining? I did tell her that she was nice and plump and would make a good stew!

Just finished my supper of grits and leftovers...it was delish! Now I am sleepy. Maybe another cup of mulled wine and then off to bed. I just LOVE when the chores are done by seven!

Took the Three Amigo's out to the in-laws for a good romp through the woods today..... took some pics too, but this one is my fave.....
Stupid phone will not upload the pics; I'll get them off fb later..

Anyway, the pooch has a new name! Dexter!
