Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Blastoderm is a visible ring. I can't see the ring in your yolk, but it might be the picture. As long as it has the ring you are good to go.

Thanks for posting the picture Deli! BYC wouldnt let me answer (again) and by then you had it! Fuxzi--the spot in the fertile egg looks just like a bulls-eye! You can see the ovum in the middle and the ring of cells surrounding it. Once you see it a few times you will always be able to recognize it. Get a store egg for comparison. They arent fertile, then you can compare them for a visual!

Thanks for explaining Clark. You have a tough road ahead for sure. Like Deli says, find some support. I think the babe will be the least of the problem for you. (((hugs)))) to you for stepping in though! My friend does foster for babies she gets out of the Milwaukee system. She has an adorable boy right now that is due to be adopted by his aunt in Alabama. I hope he is still there when I watch them next week! I always wanted to do that...I think I will stick to fostering dogs for the time being....

Speaking of dogs--I was so sure that we would have puppies when we got back from Thanksgiving dinner....nothing! I so wanted to name them food names like Turkey, Pumpkin Pie and Green Bean Casserole! Oh well...maybe today? She sure is huge!

I had a nice piece of GF P pie just now. I do think it gets better after a day in the fridge! I wasnt too sure...the cream cheese layer needs to be deeper though. It was really easy to make too. Now I just need to perfect a GF crust that I can ROLL out! The dough is so unusual I am not sure it will be possible.

OK--first day off in 14 days--I think I should make something of it! Have a good one! TErriO

I had been trying to get help from the county while she was pregnant, but no one seemed to want to listen to me or care about what was happening besides she is an adult which give me no control over anything. I just had to sit back and watch what was happening. I was very lucky that a different county stepped in when she tested positive when she went into labor after I asked if they could do a drug test. Even after the other county is still taking control as my county refused to do anything. It just blows my mind why people hold a position that aren't willing to do what they job descriptions says, "Child Protective Services". I'm getting a lot of guff right now as some think I'm taking the baby from her when I was only trying to protect the baby from suffering as her parents didn't care enough to do that. If It weren't me she would be in foster care and not with her family and my daughter wouldn't even be with the baby other than supervised visitations. The biggest problem now is after everything my daughter is in such denial over what she has done and still can't see that she had fault in this situation. I'm trying to encourage her to go to treatment but she swears she doesn't have a problem with drugs. Well obviously she does or she wouldn't of been doing this for the last 9 months.

Spent Thanksgiving down at my Uncle's retreat at Castle Rock Lake. Lovely pseudo log cabin they have there, we filled that house with people too! The kids all had a loft area to sleep in and the adults had various bedrooms or air mattresses. We had TONS of food! My Aunt was concerned we would not have enough! We were still eating leftovers late yesterday afternoon! So the spread went something like this:

Turkey
Ham
Sweet Potatoes
Cheddar mashed potatoes
Cauliflower Augratin
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce
Beet/horseradish sauce (for ham)
Bread
Cranberry orange bread
Artichoke dip
variety of cheeses
crackers
hummus
pickles
olives
Carrot sticks
cheesecake
pies
birthday cake (2)
Beer
Wine
Sodas

Then we had for breakfast between the two days:
Cinnamon rolls
Bacon
Sausage
Sticky buns
Coffee

When we left last night, they had a pot of split pea soup cooking away using the leftover ham bone and ham......

Everyone had a great time, and I was extremely grateful that they do not have a TV in the entire place. Everyone spent their time visiting.

My timer went off, I have a German Chocolate cake in the oven and I still have to get a pecan pie made for Thanksgiving at my in-laws tonight.
