Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I haven't been here very long, but see how valuable you are here, Jim! Hope all goes well.

Another question--- we put a sick hen in our brooder a couple months ago. She had a respiratory virus, healed well and went back to the flock. Now, our chicks need to go into the brooder, is there a risk they could catch the virus? Is there a good way to disinfect wood? I guess we could slap a coat of paint over it all?

good morning,, thanks for all the good wishes.. yes, I am hurtin for certain . they sent me home with no pain pills whatsoever.. I took a couple of Tylenol before bedtime.. I was up by 3 AM.. went back to bed at 6:3o AM.. all I can say at this time is, Dr's should have to go through the procedure they are doing, so they can tell how much pain killer a body needs.. and I do have a very high tolerance for pain, BTW..

needless to say, I am on a short fuse today..

had a verbal war with our resident already,, I must have convinced him I was more than serious about letting him find a new place to live,, He retreated to his sanctuary without any more argument,,

like the barber says,, NEXT ??

Dora is kind of sick of nursing those puppies.. today she did not wait for us to open the gate to the puppy fence.. she went over the top to get out.. she was not too graceful about it,, sort of pushed the thing over and climbed out.. LOL she stays in there only long enough for them to drain her, (about 1 minute) and for her to eat their special puppy food.. (about 1 minute)

OK, I have a couple of emails to answer and then sit in the recliner and see if I can catch a nap..

I will be back when I am in a better mood..

Annie just told me that she has a call in to the Cardio Clinic and a nurse should be calling soon.

Take a nap instead Jim! Glad you are good enough to be angry ;)

I seem to remember reading somewhere about upper respiratory... needs two weeks before the germs are dead. I think it was on the Brahma thread.
And bleach and sun :D
