Fish Fry Friday to everyone nice. Not bragging, but -22 below is a bit cold for the last day of Feb.

Thanks Cind for posting the pic. Getting to see the Country must be fun for sure. Taking a break from this cold would be nice.

More snow on the way...dang stuff.

My daughter played clarinet at the wittenburg solo years ago bl4. I recorded her performance and have a copy of it here somewhere on vhs...LOL! It was a fun day I remember well.

First available work dates

Cind & Deli - how does March 9 or 16th look for you to get a little bit of work done? If possible, I'd prefer to go to Cind's on March 9th at 2pm and to Deli's on March 16th around 2pm.

The next known day available (can start in the AM) will be April 18th.

I am waiting to get our soccer schedule before picking other dates.

Just set 75 coturnix quail eggs last night. Its only been half a day and I feel like im already going crazy waiting for them to hatch! This is going to be a very long 18 days!!!

No, mine do not bark a lot.. they bark when there is something to bark at..
as LGD their first line of defense is to bark and warn..
if that doesn't work, they will confront whatever predator that is stupid enough to not heed the warning barks..

they, especially the male, meets every vehicle that comes into the driveway .. he barks only at the ones that he is not familiar with.. he has never gone after anybody, but as a stranger, I would not get out of my car .. some people have , and he just keeps barking, but doesn't go after them.. when I say, OK, he shuts up and goes on his way ..

My male spends most nights outside.. he will bark at various times..
I enjoy his barking, because I know he is doing his job..
my closest neighbors are at a diagonal distance across our
10 acres.. (a couple hundred yards away)
they claim they never hear any barking.
. and they said that barking like that does not bother them, anyway ..

I cannot speak for any other of the breed, .. I did not train any of them ..

This is Puppy (Bobby Joe) today..80 pounds, 2 years old in August ..
He thinks having his picture taken is a punishment..

good afternoon, DD#1 brought me an electric snow shovel.. all it does is throw the snow a long way.. you push it just like you would a shovel..

I had GS clean out between the lean to and the chicken coop..

it went very well,, especially since I did not have to do the actual work..
