Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibro, but I don't think I am willing to get stung over and over to see if it helps.

I personally don't either... but it's my way of coming to grips that it will probably happen - focus on the benefits and not the bad.

Have you tried yoga for your arthritis and fibro? There was a time I would go 2-3x a week, because how much better I felt the few days afterward. I also have seen that since I have given up all diet soda, I probably have 90% less shooting pain out my spine. - I still go to yoga 2x a week, more for stress relief.

Hi all--I am almost 200 posts behind...if there was anything that any one needs from me please dont hesitate to call or do a PM! I am not going to read back and am severely limiting my time on here...I am not getting done what needs to be done and that has to stop!
I read one page and so agree with Jim about how much better the garden is when you have a hive nearby! We captured a swarm too. It was way up in our oak tree and we got it to go right into our empty hive! I have a feeling that the swarm was from our own hives though. That was always the nicest one. We had one hive that the bees really disliked being bothered! They would chase after DH....I thought it was funny!

OK--Time's up--gotta go back to work! Later--enjoy the gorgeous day! TerriO

SClark what a bunch of cuties! I love that they still have their egg tooth.....

If I had 'normal' sized ducks I would not be putting them in my bathtub, but since they are tiny Calls, it is no big deal.

CS, it is not that you get stung on purpose but the accumulation of the stings you will acquire while having bees. I wish I could have bees, but of course I live in this insane 'gated community'.....

Had a call this morning for a job in Lake Forest, a QC Chemist position......

hoping it all goes well and I am selected for an interview!

Loving this weather! Went for a 3 mi walk this morning and just finished a 1.5 mi run!

Could be the type of bee, buckfast honeybees get very aggressive after that have occupied a hive and all originally bees replaced (and that takes a mere 40 days or so. ) I am staying away from that type.

Staying in WI CS, I may be from IL but I do not want to deal with their issues! I found a few properties in the area that will fit the DH requirements: acres and a shed for his shop.

If I get the job CS I will let you know, my cousin is letting me crash at her place during the week if I end up getting hired down there; she is only 4 min from you.

Well, I think I have 2 birds co-parenting again. My original broody for this hatch has been diligently sitting, but today there are 2 (her and another) sitting and they have split up the eggs. This is her 1st time being broody and hatching, but the other one was my broody last hatch. I hope they keep it up as it seems really beneficial to have 2 sets of eyes and ears keeping track of all the babies.

Still emailing back and forth with the guy in the building department. He said it would be "later this year until he could get to the ordinance as this is their busy season". My response (but not my exact words), then what have you been doing since I proposed this in November? I'm not gonna have this guy think that putting me off and my proposal will work, cuz it won't. He also mentioned that after he had it the ordinance would have to go in front of the planning/zoning department. What the heck is he doing then? I can only figure that he is configuring coop dimensions and space requirements. How f*n long can that take???? I cc'd the mayor and our district rep on my response this time.

I saw some crocus's in full bloom today on my way to work. No where else have I seem proof of living vegetation, but that one place.....Spring is on its way!

Both of my girls are heading to Southern Illinois University Friday morning until Saturday evening for their State competition for Destination Imagination (DI) http://www.destinationimagination.org/what-we-do/challenge-program. Hopefully they do well and make it to Globals!

New family next door are really cleaning up the yard and repairing the house. It is starting to look pretty good. They still don't have the water turned on, so they've borrowed a couple of 5 gallon buckets worth. They've got some kids, but I'm not real sure of the ages. It looks like we have some good neighbors though!

That's all I got for now

Good neighbors are so important... so happy for you!

I've seen no blooming flowers here yet, my tulips and daffodils are up a couple of inches but not much else.
