Well, I think I have 2 birds co-parenting again. My original broody for this hatch has been diligently sitting, but today there are 2 (her and another) sitting and they have split up the eggs. This is her 1st time being broody and hatching, but the other one was my broody last hatch. I hope they keep it up as it seems really beneficial to have 2 sets of eyes and ears keeping track of all the babies.
Still emailing back and forth with the guy in the building department. He said it would be "later this year until he could get to the ordinance as this is their busy season". My response (but not my exact words), then what have you been doing since I proposed this in November? I'm not gonna have this guy think that putting me off and my proposal will work, cuz it won't. He also mentioned that after he had it the ordinance would have to go in front of the planning/zoning department. What the heck is he doing then? I can only figure that he is configuring coop dimensions and space requirements. How f*n long can that take???? I cc'd the mayor and our district rep on my response this time.
I saw some crocus's in full bloom today on my way to work. No where else have I seem proof of living vegetation, but that one place.....Spring is on its way!
Both of my girls are heading to Southern Illinois University Friday morning until Saturday evening for their State competition for Destination Imagination (DI)

New family next door are really cleaning up the yard and repairing the house. It is starting to look pretty good. They still don't have the water turned on, so they've borrowed a couple of 5 gallon buckets worth. They've got some kids, but I'm not real sure of the ages. It looks like we have some good neighbors though!
That's all I got for now
