That's interesting about changing a dog's name BL4. He had a good home I think, they just couldn't deal with his digestive issues anymore. He has had chronic diarrhea, for much of his life it sounded like. He's on Purina EN now which is controlling it. The rescue thinks he has food allergies. I'm waiting to get the rest of his records before we discuss with our vets. Don't wanna upset his balance!

Our dog could only eat lamb based products anything else made lift messy. Even at that we couldn't change the brand, otherwise it upset her system. Not fun for pet or owner.

Cute kitten pictures!! Tempting to pick up another friend for our cat... but I think 1 is enough for now. :)

Well my eggs will be at 21 days today, at around 5pm, to be exact. :) Nothing has hatched yet. I keep staring at them to see if any are moving. I think a few are, but then again I have a wondering eye which can make it look like it's moving but not. I asked my DD15 to check it out, she thinks it's moving too... my DH just laughed at us.. me with the wondering eye and my DD15 who is vision impaired, which will continue to degrade until she can no longer see (prob around early 20s - we hope it holds off that long). So there might be a few eggs rocking and then there might not be. Keeping my fingers crossed when DD15 arrives home from school I get a text that hatching has begun.

Busy busy weekend for us! My DH is overwhelmed with how much he has on his list. Have a good Friday everyone!!!

Cloudy morning here

, was really hoping to see some sunshine....

At home today...it will be paperwork today...was just heading out to go finish cleaning at our rental unit when school called- DD(14 years) not feeling well and could I come get her. So there was a change of plans....really hoping this is just a 24 hr bug!(and no one else gets it!)

Started up the incubator this morning, will be hatching out some quail eggs that we picked up yesterday, along with 3 laying females....already 2 eggs and the kids are deciding who gets to eat them....

probably have another 1 or 2 later today...then they each can have 1!

Have a good one!

good morning, almost noon,,

I started up bator #2 yesterday.. this morning I decided to reset both bators.. while I was at it, I set 4 thermometers to al read the same.. I picked the digital probe as the "boss" one and set the rest to match.. so now if one is wrong, they are all wrong the same..

I just added water to bator #2 and am waiting for the humidity reading..

Marlene picked up her two bators yesterday.. I found that if I set the temperature using the digital probe, it makes the process much easier and quicker..

I will be setting at least 3 dozen chicken eggs today, plus over a dozen guinea eggs..

cats are like peanuts,, you can't have just one, so don't take the first one ..

If it stays dry today, I might just change the burst hose on Ollie.. I will be needing him when I clean out the chicken coops..

I ran an add to sell a couple of incubators with turners and fans.. also put the big cabinet bators in.. and the tractor and saw rig, Farmall A .. It will be in all the surrounding area weekly shoppers ..

Hello,

I'm new here. I live near Janesville and just got started with BYC. I have 6 red sex link chicks that are about 4 weeks old. Here's an initial pic of the brooder in the kitchen. It has been moved to the garage.

Here is the a shot of the coop in progress... The hen house of 4'x6'. The run is 10'x6'. It has solid walls over the upper part of the run to try to hide it from the neighborhood...
