Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hey cind, the rooster in that pen is wade lines. The super dark eggs I sent are from a hen with, davis lines. The medium eggs are same rooster and hens from Zeek. I dont remember where his hens were from. But they are feather footed. I know mine is ar french variety :)

Thanks Jim. That's probably all I needed to do to the egg pan...live and learn. I think there are 6 or more pans in storage yet so I'll have plenty opportunity to use your method.
Now I'm anxious to cook more in these. I could kick myself for passing up a #10 Griswold at a flea market a couple weeks ago. Guy only wanted $35 for it and I don't have one that big.

you can do all of the pots this way also..

I just automatically do it because I just assume someone washed the pan..

around here, I have seen people make eggs stick in teflon pans..

when doing scrambled eggs, you do not have to keep stirring them . beat them in a bowl, pour into the pan and turn them as you would a regular fried egg.. If you want them to be in little chunks, chop them up after they are all cooked ..

We have a very old battered cast iron pan too. Can't find another one like it that doesn't have any grill lines (those long sticking up things for the fat drips off) or is big enough to put 4 French toast in it at the same time. Big and square. Been looking for over 5 years now... No luck.

As for being blacklisted from CS, I might just have to start writing in a different color or in bold to be seen anyways :p but we shall see who has the better team on Thursday!!!

Taken care of most of the ducks (at least the willing ones) but told SO he has to clean the condos today as I don't have time to do them, gotta head to town/city for doc again. Hehehe.

Gotta get ready and run now. So will ttyt!

Somethings been bugging me since the bash. It's kinda an ethical dilemma thing for me. We (DH and I) bought 13 tickets for the drawing. Normally I feel in a small group like we had, you (or a couple) should limit yourself to no more than 2 prizes. (Some of you know I did that the year before) Anyway, we wound winning 2 prizes early on. Then the feed came up. I knew I was going to NEED the feed within a day of getting home so I took that too. Then I won the big prize... the pizza cutter! Well, who in their right mind would turn that down! After a few minutes (when people were leaving the area) I realized when I won the feed I should have given back an item, same with the cutter. But I also didn't want to offend the people who brought the first items. Maybe it was Karma kicking my *** when I fell. Would anyone feel bad if I donated the first two items to the next bash? Any other ideas?

Night All!

I agree with you Cind, which was why we kept passing things up..... I was feeling badly about winning all the time. We should probably limit the # of prizes one can win to make it fair to everyone.
I disagree - though I wasn't at the bash so I didn't have a dog in that fight. The more you support the bash with your ticket purchases, the more you are likely to win. That's how a raffle drawing works. (Door prizes are a whole different story.) If others are unhappy because they didn't win anything, they should just buy more tickets. It's all chance and numbers. I figure that I should consider my ticket purchase as a donation - If I win anything, that's just a bonus. If I don't win anything I've still made my donation and that's all I expected in the first place. I don't think there's any need for you to worry about karma and there's no need for anyone to be upset with you for winning more than one prize. Just my humble opinion.

OK, I'll enjoy my prizes. I do think the Draw and Pick is a good idea. That way if there is something you need you have a chance of getting it rather than something that may wind up in the White Elephant. There was some nice stuff there, but sometimes need trumps like or want.

I'll say Good Night Later

A "Chinese Auction" is another way to do that. Each prize has a container next to it for the tickets. Write your name on the back of each ticket and drop them in the containers for the things you want/need. The better prizes will have more tickets in them and will be harder to come by and no one will get a prize they really didn't want.

I like that idea Irish. Since you were not there, I will explain what happened. We had a few individuals who were winning all the time; I would have walked out of there with at least 5 prizes myself if I did not start passing things up. We were trying everything to make the drawing more random with no luck. It was just one of those fluke things.....
