Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Moved the duck pen today, they only moved about 5 feet but now they will get more sunshine and be out from under the pine trees. Apparently my in-laws forgot about how broody these ducks can be, and failed to collect the eggs for the last two weeks so now Jules is sitting on 10 eggs. They look like they are around day 6-8, they all have the little spiderweb of veining about the size of a quarter with a little embryo in the middle. So now we just wait and see how many will hatch. It will be cute to see a bunch of little black bibbed babies running around.

Trixie has kennel cough so badly that I had to call the vet. Since we were at the in-laws I missed their call, so tomorrow I will be making a trip to the Vet office to get here some meds.

Chatted with LMiller today. She is doing well, just really busy.

Pizza for dinner here.

Evening All...just made it home from the meeting at Camp. The new front gate at the entrance is finished....works really nice. We skid a few trees out that we knocked down...not enough time to get them cut up, but they are in the parking lot and it will be easy to cut and split them there.

More time in the garden today....hopefully I can get it tilled tomorrow, then I'll be happy. Planted my second planting of radishes and spinach today...usually the second crop is better than the first....we will see.

Nice pics cs...thanks for sharing them. Cake was gone before I had a chance for a piece. I'll take your word on how good it was Jim!

Time for a tall cold one...bigz

good evening,

after supper I went out and sat on a lawn chair, just because.. the mosquitoes weren't too bad,
after about 20 minutes of wasting time I cranked up the lawn mower and mowed along the driveway and out along the road,

I have about 5 small plum trees growing near the end of the driveway,, I will have to put a steel fence post next to each one .. they can't seem to stand up straight with all the leaves weighing them down.

I have the framing for the new chicken coop door all figured out . I need to find a 40 inch long piece of treated wood for the sill.. I guess another trip to Menard's should take care of that ..

we thought the guinea eggs were all done,, now there is yet another keet in the hatcher..

tomorrow I will have 48 chicken eggs,, enough for a full tray .. might as well set them,,

my welder guy showed up and we got the loader frame straightened and the renegade pin put back in,,
the left cylinder is still not lifting .. So I am taking it back to F&F and exchanging it for a new one..
Annie had a moment of panic today when she could not locate the receipt for the cylinders..
I found it in my wallet..
