Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi all!

I'm working on an order for 100 quill pens

Jon (the youngest that moved to Hawaii, for those that don't know) got a raise and bought a small motor cycle. And I forgot to mention, the boat didn't get to Hawaii, they got a couple hundred miles out and started up the engines (just to double check) and had issues so they came back.

Guess that's it....Night All!

Great weekend hitting some state parks over near Sheboygan and manitowoc, hit the maritime museum, great pizza recommendation from vicki, and packer family night. We were even on the jumbotron for a while. Now back to reality!!!
Finish school shopping, make sure we have babysitters covered for next few weeks as this is the last one for our regular babysitter and get the house in order for the annual bash weekend for the twins birthday. Kid party one day and family and friends party the other day. Yikes!

And,of,course it is 4 am and I can't sleep.

Anyone here can help me please as we are suppose to put some birds in the fair Wednesday for showing and we have no clue what we are doing. My son Tyler will be showing them. I can already tell that he's going to have to bathe the white Cochin Bantam hen, but what else does a person do to get them ready? Mel I know you show so if you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Vicki I sent you an email but no response so just wondering if you've been busy or it went to spam.

No worries. Just give them a good bath. Make sure they are super warm while drying. Be sure to check good for those mites. We actually sprayed our birds with flea and tick treatment before we went. As we were informed that there is always some crawling at our fair. Our fair provided small cups for dishes. But since scott was gone and I was on 12's he made bigger feed dishes. And I brought rabbit waterers. I also gave them some yogurt and eggs becore we laft. And keptnthe electrolytes in the water.
Good luck and have fun!!!

Oh, also if yoh want them tomlook a little extra pretty, many at our fair were putting small amounts of Vaseline on their comb wattles and legs. MDe them look shiny. But by the time everyone did that, they all looked the same ;)

Jim, possibly the drawing is rigged

yeah, probably, I hope they don't change anything,,

BTW.. Dale did the draw.. I paid for his breakfast.. Dale is totally blind.. I guess he could feel the numbers.. I am going to punch my number in brail to help him out in the future.. we could really clean up.. split the draws 50/50 ..

Afternoon All...nice to hear talk about showing...it's that time of year and I hope you that show , do well!

Nothing new here...work in the gardens is a daily thing....coops to be cleaned on the list this week....I hate those mice's to pieces....free loaders.....

Venzun loins on the grill tonight with grilled sweet peppers and onions.....suzie made ho-made sauerkraut salad with green peppers, onions, and caraway seed with a oil, cider vinegar and sugar dressing, using the kraut juice as the base....goodie for sure.

Good job on the butcher Jim....fresh chicken is always a good way to quiet the flock...LOL!

Packers are gonna retire Favre's Number and admit him to the Packers Hall of Fame....Well Deserved for sure.

Had a great weekend visiting son & girl friend. Trip over was long...a little over 8hrs. Trip back was lighter traffic & we made it home in 7 hrs. Nice area ( Auburn IN ). Will be going back in the fall to deer hunt with son. Could not convince wife to take home a pair of bielefelders that were for sale near Auburn. Daughter did a great job taking care of chicks, and pets while we were gone.

She found it much easier than taking care of broilers. She will have both to look after at the end of the month.
