Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Pretty female bobcat, sorry she was hit. I would rather a nuisance animal like a coyote get hit than a feline....

No, it is illegal to shoot ANY bird of prey in the state. If you do not want your birds to get eaten by hawks, keep them protected in covered runs.

Speaking of naughty felines...... stumpy butt aka Jinx is in love with our birds....

Best cat TV ever!

Hi folks...trying to stay up later than usual to really mess with my internal clock! LOL!

That is sad that the cat was hit...are they as bad as a coyote or a fox? I dont have any experience with cats...wild ones that is. Sure is a pretty animal. I think you should have picked her up and had her mounted...then sold on ebay Cind. My uncle had a bobcat mount that people were always asking to buy....lots of years ago though. She looked like she was still in good shape...when I first saw the pic I thought she was just sleeping!

Bad experience having DH and DD take care of critters this weekend while I was gone. I was only 3 miles away--next time I will do it by myself or hire a RESPONSIBLE party. I am lucky the horses didnt break out of their fence...he was feeding the half of what they should be fed now. A few deaths too...stuff that shouldnt have died. Really ticks me off...then he had the gall to say I was an ash hole for not saying thank you! For what? Killing my birds? I have NEVER had birds run to me like they did tonight--for water! DD said she watered at noon...I was home at 5--the dishes were bone dry? Sheesh--this isnt July! Needless to say I wont be relying on them any more.

Glad I put on my sweatshirt...it is chilly in here. We usually dont turn on the furnace until Thanksgiving (when we go out of town) but DH must have decided it was too hard to keep the stove stocked with wood while I was gone (read into that what you may) and I found the heat on when I came home for warmer clothing on Saturday. I guess I will be putting plastic on the windows for the next few days...this house is so drafty! BigZ I am so jealous of your nice wood pile in the basement!

Nighties Good People--stay warm! TErriO

Sorry to hear that Terri, sounds just like when I went to Kentucky and lost all those birds and the jerk paid the sil for killing thousands of my dollars and said pretty much the same thing. Never again I say.

I am going to Ohio for Nationals this week..I will be gone for 5 days. I wonder how many birds I will have left. Naaaaa... They will be fine. I do worry about water freezing. Joe is not excited about getting up extra early and doing waters before work. I might have to plug in something just to make sure I have at least one watering dish. The chicks should be fine. They can go three days on the gallon containers if need be.

I heard they have over 12,000 birds entered..it is going to be a fun packed weekend!

Have a great time! That would be fantastic to see! Terrio

Rainy Evening Here....Way to many Bobcats here in the state. They are way worse than hawks or yotes...they are supreme killers....nope, unless you have a trapping license with a bob tag....you can't have one in your procession....and...taxidermist won't touch it with a ten foot pole without a proper tag....just sayin. Even if it was a car kill...the DNR would need to be called first....and even then good luck.

Yep, the fire feels good TO....I earned the warmth with all the work!

Good Luck at Nationals delish....it comes at the worst time of year for me. Be sure to have a great time!

Time for venzun cheesburgers with fried onions....
