Hi All!

2nd son came out today and helped DH split some wood with the splitter. Didn't get a lot done but it's a good start. If I could start it (pull start) I would try to run it in the afternoon. DH gets home after dark now so it will be a Sunday chore.

I've been only getting 1 to 3 eggs a day, they could have found a new place to hide them though.

it sure is purdy out there with everything snow covered
and BURIED !!

every year I am less and less prepared for winter,, must be an old age thing,, these golden years really suck..
but not as bad as Da Bears ..

I am going to buy the bearings and sprockets for the plucker today.. I want to work on them tonight.. I have to weld the hubs into the sprockets and insert the bearings into the pillow blocks.
then make a layout for spacing them so the chain fits tightly ..

I don't think F&F has 1" shaft stock, so I will have to go to the steel selling place down the road and have them cut a couple of shafts for me..

have to bowl today,, will pick up a 5 gal can of gas for Ollie..might have to do some plowing tomorrow...

Cind--you are an evil woman! LOL--just kidding--I had forgotten all about that episode! Yeah and Olde Blue isnt running and hasnt been out since spring time! Probably would run if we jumped it but I dont have any place to take him to!

So anyhow--no snow here today and it's 42 on the porch. I guess I better go and let the chickens out before I have a calamity on my hands. Jim I must say that I am kinda jealous of you...no frozen waterers to deal with now...one little dish will do for that amount of birds!

I was supposed to pick up some pigs this week...my friend talked me out of it...but I keep thinking about homegrown pork!

Good morning! SHoot--it's almost noon...I just got up about an hour ago; I was up at 7 calling all the people I was supposed to see today. I am SICK! I decided that since this was a kind of "light" day I should stay home and try to kick this crap! I hate being sick...but I thought it was a great time to catch up on here...only to find that there were 16 posts in stead of the hundreds I expected! WOW! I hope you arent right Jim about the bash...it will still be fun with 5 people but not as entertaining I am sure!

Early afternoon everyone.
Good news at least so far. Car problem want the seat. Belt ! LOL ET went over with the neighbor and tried jumping it nothing. Put new charged battery in and started right up. Been parked since.
Well if you want to blame anyone for the cold and snow guess you can blame me.
I took my 300 so out of storage in Racine and drove it home up here last Sunday. Haven't made room in the storage facility up here for it yet so here it sits in the driveway full of snow !
And to get it to snow schedule a colonoscopy! On second day of drinking liquids and going to take "the pills" at 4pm. Called the doctors office today to ask where the doc lives ? In case of the blizzard tomorrow I don't want to plow my way over 75 miles one way to find out he didn't make it there! Now that would really be the $hits! (Pun intended)
Was kind of hoping they would cancel.....I'm getting pretty hungry !
Not looking forward to chicken food bill if this weather is any indication of future forecast.

No joking about a colonoscopy from me ever again. I was suppose to have my routine one in February to recheckbif my cancer was back but put it off. Spent 2 Fridays ago in the ER and now see the GI surgeon in Eau Claire tomorrow. My colon is so inflamed and bleeding they couldn't even get a readout. They believe I have another tumor. I've been in miserable pain for the past 3 weeks, feels like I'm dying.

Everyone should make sure they have a colonoscopy at the recommended times. ET goes next month. I had Eschemic cololitis 12 yrs ago and I can attest to the pain and bleeding.
We all tend to take our health and body functions for granted ! (Self included)
TO I got my meal worm farm up and running again. Sorry but yes I lost the colony from the bash.....put them I the shade while we unpacked the truck and well let's just say it was a quick demise. Not sure who but some critter found them.

Snowy evening all.

Had been snowing all day pretty good and we got about 8" here in town (not up at the farm). Stopped for a bit but I guess there is more to come. Urgh. No like as driving behind other idiots is really stretching my patience to the limits!

Stacy, get well soon! And tell your intestines that it better not be cancer, or I'm gonna be really mad! Not gonna even argue about that one. Stay strong girl, the world still needs you for a few more decades!

Had fun plowing thru the snow earlier and walking my pit girl in the storm. She loved jumping from one snow pile into the next, sampling every pile and kept on going. Guess no one gave her the memo that people don't like walking in a cold snow storm?! She had a blast though.

Hope up north on the farm that the snow wasn't too bad. Took off early as I had a doc appointment that would have gotten canceled if I had come at my regular time. Glad I made it and feel a bit better now.

Just tired now so I'm gonna take a nice hot shower and take it easy tonight. And turn in early too. Later and stay safe and warm everyone!
