Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I have a pair of Polish and my male is just learning how to cockadoodledo. We live in the town of blackwolf outside of oshkosh and I guess there is an ordinance that we can't have roosters. I was contacted by the constable last night that I need to get rid of them. Any ideas on how I can keep him quiet, if there is any!!!

Make him a house rooster and when he crows tell.anyone that hears him that it is your parrot mimicking a rooster !

Well they were here and now are gone. They did not seem overly concerned about the disease (just doing my job...) The farm is quarantined until the tests come back. THey tested 5 chickens, 5 ducks, a turkey and 5 geese. Then there were a bunch of questions about people that have visited, where I have been etc. My feed guy called me and said that they will work with me and bring my food out to the driveway. I am supposed to order what I think I will need for 3 weeks...no idea where I will put that much! My barrels can hold about a week and a half or so...

Thanks for all the thoughts...I am hoping all is OK. If not I believe they cull all birds and bury them on site....according to a website I checked. All of Jefferson County is under quarantine right now. No birds in and no birds OR bird products out...looks like we will be eating o whole bunch of eggs here!

Still hoping all the tests come back negative Terri. Nothing but the best wishes sent your way!

Not much to do about the crowing rooster...unless you have a insulated building to muffle the sound. Then during warm weather it would be impossible without windows open....time to deal with the laws or end up in bigger trouble eventually...in my opinion.
