So what causes angel wing? My one and only lavender australorp that hatched on Easter has real looking wing feathers and both sides look stick out terrible. None of the others do... is it heat, light, food?

Is it too soon to be judging feathers?    YES it is!
I'll try to post pictures.... they are definitely not like anything I have seen before on a chick this you g. They typo should have read....real long featbers.im talking real long.

JJ, your little penguin chick looks just like my Dom/buff orp chicks did.

Sandi, you really have to post pics of that chick.

Jim, the Brinseas are awesome. Just follow the directions they give you and just set it and forget it. All I have to do is add water periodically. Everything thing else is automated. I love mine. I just wish it was bigger. (The incubator).

Good info on the avian flue. It is spread by wild birds and their droppings so try to keep your birds away from bird feeders, baths & anything else that attracts wild birds. I think the info Staci posted stated that wild birds routinely crap in water sources, so you should try to keep your flocks from drinking out of anything that wild birds have access to. I hope your birds are healthy Terri. The comment about hasmat suits had me chuckling Mel. That has to be good for egg sales. NOT!

Hmmm, had a few other things I was going to say but after catching up on 11 pages, CRS has struck again.
