Gee Huntress makes me double think my issues with a couple of my birds... One I know had Vent Gleet, due to the smell...She appears fully recovered today though. The other suspected case though has no smell, just a red toosh, scrawny and diarreah. I have always feed quality feed, it is always fresh and does not have a chance to mold... Kind of anal about keeping things clean, bleaching every spring and fall etc, raising birds is a crap shoot... the best we try mother nature gets in there and messes things up. So sorry for you losses, but admire you positive attitude.Hopeful though as you stated it is not contagious, just if a bird has a weakened system it is not going to be able to fight off the disease.
I am laying newspaper in the garden and clippings on top... going to attempt a no weed garden this way... I hate pulling weeds and when I get home from work sun is setting and the mosquitoes are especially hungry, probably cause I am so sweet
