She is the Deleware, no I am not collecting but want to know stuff before I start.a pullet egg is from a hen that is just starting to lay.. they usually are about half the size of a normal egg.. they will gradually become larger with each egg she lays..
they are not good for incubating.. usually just not fertile..
your 2 year old is just inconsistent,, and not laying pullet eggs..
If I were collecting eggs to hatch from her, I would avoid the small ones.. that is just me,,
Take photos of the box, the shipping label and snap shot on your computer a copy of your payment. You will need these things if the eggs were (and should of been) shipped Priority to file a claim with the p.o. and also request another shipment of eggs like Jim said better packaged. Also SB are smaller chickens so would not lay a large egg. I've dealt with many poorly shipped eggs and claims thru this p.o. this past winter. Those things listed above you will need to file a claim if the seller will not resend. Let eggs sit in cool area for 2-3 days, then put in bator for 2-3 more days not turning(I have waited until 5 depending on how detached the aircells are), If they are scrambled you most likely won't have anything hatch. They might start to grow and stop sometime during the incubation process but it's worth a try. Each egg should be wrapped in bubblewrap at least 2 layers thick, sellers are now also getting this foam stuff to set the egg in that I got one shipment in and nearly all of those eggs hatched(although they were Quail eggs, not sure if that made a dif), They should never be shipped in a carton, too much bouncing around.
