Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Nice Summer Weather Here....love to hear that your produce stand is nothing but a winner Irish.

Busy canning more salsa today....it's a all day job.....my maters were stellar like always...the peppers were also so heavy that branches were broke. If you wrap them tight in plastic wrap, they keep really well in the fridge.

Back to the stove...bigz

hi,
well, satelite TV is out for awhile,, so here I am on the puter again,,
I checked the radar and it looks like we will be out for a little longer..

I got another section of the lawn mowed.. it was mostly weeds, so I didn't have to mow it twice..

I should have selected some lumber from the pile before the rain came,, I have a couple of pieces to plane and drill for mounting the chain and sprocket assembly..

......jiminwisc.........

The Pack resigned James Jones again ....hope he works out this time....kinda fumble fingers in the red zzzone., in the past....the queens dumped him for a reason....in my opinion.

Hope I'm wrong.

Okay everyone thanks for all of the advice and the help. Sorry been a busy day been at the rock river thresheree all day. Had a blast nicer than last year. It was a good day. Have now gotten four hard-shelled eggs from the girls, three in the last two days, so I think it's a combination of heat and their bodies still getting I. The groove. Got one this morning and one tonight both in the same nest box. Yesterday's egg was on the floor of the building their temporary night run is in. I'm very proud of our girls I think they're learning well. The were free ranging when tonight's egg was laid. Don't know who it was but good girl anyway. Yes I do plan on locking g them up for a bit if needed to train them. Also I'm glad they're definitely not eating the eggs.

Welcome to the newbies!!!
Irish, that stand is awesome!
Momgille, blue never breeds true. You will get blue black and splash
So I can definitely tell the two blues I have are one roo and one hen... But the black ones confuse me... More like a "rose comb" and still one is bigger and has more pronounced wattles... just a tad though... not quite as big as the Blue Roo... and then are the blacks the considered Black Wyandottes?? Such a learning experience...

Went to Oconomowoc for a cookout with my daughters boyfriends family... Such nice people, my daughter has great taste in boyfriends I must say.. I took jalapeno poppers... Not that we needed anymore heat today what a sweltering day, sad to hear though the forecast for next week will be highs in the 60's..Oh well you can't always get what you want... but if you try sometimes you get what ya need...

I'll gladly take the temps in the 60s AFTER most of my 'maters ripen!
My tomatoes have been going nuts. I just finished up canning 15 gallons of salsa about 2 minutes ago. Hoping to get my sauerkraut fermenting in the next few days...so much better than store bought kraut. I wish I woulda did pickles....just itchin for some bread and butter chips. Guess there's always next year!

Hi All!

Happy and sad to hear about all the gardens doing so well and canning getting done. Sad because I can't do a big garden anymore.

I have a couple of young roos too that are learning to crow... you can always pick them out! LOL

Night All!

Momgille, the Wyandottes are tough. The best tell tale is the saddle feathers. You can not judge too much by their comb.
Maybe send me a few pics? And I'll give it a go :)
