Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

No meat market today so that means I get to catch up on some sleep. Funny how working third shift you never feel refreshed liked you slept much or good. Somewhere close something made Pepe angry and got sprayed. Boy is that stinky....kinda weird smelling a skunk in early January.

I've got a theory on the total loss of egg production. I'm going to switch out the type of bulb I have out there. I have CFLs out there as I didn't want to have the added heat earlier in the season, but I wonder if this brand has a wave length that the birds don't benefit from. I've used the CFLs before and never had total loss of production.

I have a 4' led shop light I got at SAMs club for 35 bucks. That seems to be doing the job well

Sunny Hump Day TO Everyone....good job Rudy....if I was closer Cind, I would stop by with a smoked beef bone that butcher up here sells for dog treats.

I agree with keeping the water and feed as clean as possible too.

We better all enjoy this balmy weather while we have it...the real January is about to show it's face....hope it is short lived and gets back to balmy Winter weather.

I also feed a separate feeder with oyster shell for added calcium, as well as a separate feeder with grit in it for better digestion... it's not necessary for the grit during unfrozen ground weather if the birds free range, but helps a lot during frozen ground weather if you are feeding grains for treats or layer mash with cracked corn in it.

Have Fun...this is as good as it gets.... bigz

Hi All!

If I can find the typed recipe for goop I will post it.

Cardio Doc. says I should be OK for 6 months! LOL then I see him again.

Night All.

Morning to all....wyo, I use #2 medium size grit...Fleet sells a 50lb bag for a reasonable price compared to the small quantities that usually are about the same price. Clean limestone road gravel will work too...the birds will pick out the size they want.

Light dusting here today, not enough to shovel so far.
