I have never medicated for worms either.
we butchered many hundreds and even would say a few thousand chickens and never found worms in any of them,
I had goats many years ago, and an old guy told me to feed them long cut tobacco for worms. like Plowboy if they still sell it.. I bought the cheapest tobacco I could find.
I never suspected the goats had worms, but they sure liked the tobacco..
don't feed it to milking goats, though.. the taste will come through in the milk..
If you are milking goats, don't let them eat randomly in a weed patch.. some weeds will make the milk taste bad, too.
I took the hanging turkey feeder and modified it today
I went on the drill press and enlarged the holes..
Now I think the chickens will be able to get their heads far enough into the holes to clean out the feed so that new feed can fall.
I also got some lumber rough cut for a baffle in the new feeder.
then company showed up and work was done for the day.
gotta take time out to socialize , eh ?.
