Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

good morning,

I transferred the pullet chicks into the guinea coop.
I hung a light for them, although I don't think they need much extra heat.
today they graduate up to the 15# feeder. I have been feeding them 3 times a day.. too much extra work for me.

it rained hard for awhile this morning. sun is out now.

the corn I planted should have no trouble sprouting .
the field corn across the road is about 4 inches tall already.

the guineas have taken it upon themselves to stand on the shoulder of the road about 50 feet from our driveway. I think the hen has a nest in the ditch up there.
I chase them home, but soon they go back.

But here's what I know. It grabbed 3, 9-10 week old chicks and left only a few small piles of feathers, it was silvery and black but not broad like badgers should be. I also don't think it was large enough to be one. It was very low to the ground and there was a distinct musky smell about the yard but not quite skunk. I am going to be searching for images online of what it could be.

Please help. This thing is devastating our flock.
Here ya go, photos all in one place may help a bit.
