Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Whew, I took 20 ducklings, 2 almost grown ducklings, and 2 roosters to 7 mile fair today. It was my first time selling anything and I came home with just 6 ducklings. I may try to keep them but shouldn't as they aren't legal where I live. I have a good lead on selling the Sebastopols, and just have 2 Toulouse and 1 white Chinese to go. I'm exhausted but happy I found good homes for them. Turkey sandwiches for dinner tonight, too tired for grilling!

are the toulouse male or female ?
I know someone looking for a female.
how much do you want for it/them ?

I just transferred 29 chicks into a brooder from the bator. there is one pipped yet.

I think I found the stinky egg. there might be another

It's a pair. The breeder sexed them, but they are still really young and don't behave 1 way or the other yet. The white Chinese I'm certain is a female. I'm charging 15 each, but would go to 40 for all 3.

Productive day here today. I bought a bunch of closeout plants and bulbs yesterday at wally. Got them all put in the ground. Got my garden somewhat back under control. And did a lot of weeding. Tired tonight for some reason.

We cut, hauled, split and piled wood again yesterday.
I think we started a little over 3 weeks ago gathering it for the wood burner.
This is where we are now

My dad estimates we have enough to get us through January if it's a mild winter. You can't tell from this pic, but the pile is at least 6 ft deep and nearly 6 ft tall. It's a pretty good start.
One of my Easter egger started crowing yesterday. :( I was so hoping he was a she, such beautiful coloring (rusty red splashes and a blue gray tail). I'm still holding out hope for my other 2 Easter eggers to be girls... I want colored eggs in the worst way!
The garden is getting way out of hand again... I just weeded last week!
I told DH about the robot weeder and he is wondering how it knows what's a weed and what's not... I kinda had the same question though.
Take care all,
jean

We're really close!
Hi neighbor! :frow[/QUOTE]
Not that far away either, so two options for your sugar.

Jim, if you could stop doing the rain dance down there, that would be great.... every time I try to do any work it seems like the sky opens up. We are leaving for Nebraska on Friday so I have got to get these tomatoes secured but I fear that is not going to happen. Have hit that stage in the succession planting where you need a masters degree in mathematics to figure out what to plant next but the birds are pumpin out the eggs. No sign from the young ones, only 12 weeks so it will be a bit, but noticed that a couple of them have gone through a voice change over the last week. The one who was attacked will never have a tail I fear. She looks like a dodo bird...

funny you should mention a rain dance
My bro Dave used to do a little chant.
It meant absolutely nothing, but it seemed to rain when he did it.

I transferred 30 chicks into the brooder last night, I thought there might be 2 or 3 more this morning.
Nope,, looks more like ten..
I put water in for them just now.
I dipped two of their beaks in it. the rest should catch on from watching.
they are eating the crumbles already.

for that auto weeder; I think you would have to construct your garden is a certain way. and I don't imagine it could pull out thistles ..

ETA: I transferred 20 more chicks just now..

Your bird will regrow it's tail GG72 when it molts. That's when they regrow feathers. It's the same with hens that have a bare back from the roosters being a lover boy.
