Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

That's good Dae to know it all gets used. The effort and the superior product we all produce from the gardens is truly a blessing and amazing....I've overdone some things in the past and was just curious....but ya, one can use this stuff for a variety of meals.

Again, nothing but the Best for you and the family bl4. Hope Ross is able to keep himself busy at the NEW PLACE, while lookin for a job!

Big game for the Pack tomorrow....it was really nice to watch Brady lose Thursday night and curse like he always does....he is the best sore loser I've ever seen in professional sports.

4 more pints of dill pickles and the first 8 pints of pickled beets today. Well actually I cleaned and prepped today. They are all in jars and tomorrow I will finish. Also caught up on laundry again. Had to make 3 dozen eggs into egg salad today. I gave one of the boiled eggs to my skunk, Bonzo, and then I laughed and laughed. First it kept rolling away from him. Then he started acting like a football center and kept hiking the egg out behind him. Smart little stinker though because the shell got all cracked up and pliable then he was able to eat the whole thing. Shell and all. He is such a hoot. And the best snuggler. I am going to have to get a few quail though as that is a more appropriate size of egg to give him at one time.

Hi all,
Can't believe the garden season is almost over!
I am going to love seeing the chickens scratch around in there when we open the garden up to them :celebrate
Got my first green egg today from one of my Easter eggers. It freaked my dad and DH out... I guess they didn't know there was such a thing! :lau
Spent the day at the quilt show with my mom and sister. We had a blast and I bought some fabric (oops!) to make a rag quilt. I also just had to buy some fabric with chickens on it. Going to make a kitchen curtain and a few throw pillows with it.
Oh what fun :wee
DH is out of town on a job this weekend and next, so I should be able to get a good start on those projects.
My sister also bought a yarn bowl for me today (the stinker). It's beautiful and I'm super excited it's getting really close to crochet season so I can make some of those projects too.
I just love fall...all these cozy days coming up. We'll see how well I do with the outside chores as the temps drop though. I've never been good with the cold and with the animals I'll be spending a lot more time out in it this year.
All I can say is thank goodness for flannel and coffee!
Take care all,
jean

I am back, OH, was I gone ?
we didn't have any computer connections since a week ago Friday.
I had a few choice words with a tech from there , Frontier, and she got her nose out of joint any reduced our signal down to one, and went home for the weekend. My bil is retired from the phone company, but he still has pull. He went up the ladder beyond the lower supervisor's head and got us a new tech, and a confirmed work order with orders to not leave the house until we were up and running..
it looks like we have good service, now.

Sat, I took two puppies to a rondeveuse in Blaire to send them to Iowa.

Two Amish brothers each took one.
a male and a female.

tired tonight. got woke up at 4AM and got home at midnight.

I can't believe some people decided to ride it out.
I was watching some of the coverage on TV.
they showed the traffic jamb on 75.
however the south bound lane was clear.
why didn't they open the south bound lane to north bound traffic ?
at least one lane of it ??

I am happy to be back on the internet.
it seems OK so far.
we have been fighting with this problem on and off for a year. "No internet connection"

I have to go now and see how much it will
cost to send a dog to Spokane Wash..
