Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

You could put Ross to work building some raised garden beds...that would cure the Black Walnut problem for some stuff...it's amazing how much yield one can get from a 4'x8' plot...plus they are easy to maintain.
Yep, waiting for the game too Jim...GO Dogs!

Hi all, still toughing out this cold spell.
today we wormed the pups and moved out to the vacant chicken coop.
now I will be carrying water again.
but it won't be for long.

meat goat/sheep/hog farm west of Madison..

still not even thinking about gardening, yet..

I did send in my order for seeds to Sand Hill Preservation today. I'm gonna have to figure out a easy method to keep the weeds down this year though...last year they were awful. Saved a bunch of large cardboard to place between the rows...that will help some. i'll prolly buy some type of plastic that they sell for this very reason. I think the weeds are the biggest deter for most gardeners.

Yeah Brent, you hit the nail on the head. weeds are what are keeping me from getting enthused about a garden.
I left in a short row of potatoes, do you think they will grow ?

I would need a whole fleet of those weed eaters, BBZZZZTT

I can't believe that the average garden is 100 square feet. My main garden is 30x45 and my perennial garden (strawberries, etc) is 10x40. I know some of you have much bigger gardens than this even. Probably the gardeners on this page alone could support their business.

Chances are the spuds prolly rotted in the ground Jim, although I have had volunteer spuds come up from spuds I musta missed when I dug them....so.....maybe you might get lucky and have some sprout on their own.
Dang this cold is getting old....bring on the melt soooon!
