Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I was completely stuffed (had a bowl of egg drop soup before the plate came out). I have has sushi before and did not care much for it, but since I was not paying and we were at a decent Asian restaurant I though I would give it a go. That stuff was fantastic! I wanted more today! We almost went for sushi again but had Indian instead which was also very tasty! Maybe tomorrow night we will go for sushi.....

I think my one pot of peppers has been affected by the black walnut tree..... the plants look quite sick and are yellowing. Tomatoes look good though.

Hoping the honey flow keeps up, but we need rain to keep the flowers going. I am wondering how much honey is in the supers vs the brooding boxes....... at least we don’t have to cut the lawn any time soon.

We spent Tuesday and Thursday at Perrot State Park north of Lacrosse. The front side climb to the top of Brady's Bluff was the only hike I could muster out of this body! We went for a canoe ride around Trempeleau Lake Wednesday morning and stopped at Granddad Bluff on our way back home. It was my first trip to both places.

made up four baggies this morning,
used two of them on the mulberry tree.
I figured it would be a quick job, so I didn't use the bug spray.. not a good decision.
will be using the other two bags on the apple tree.. but not without bug spray..

Just my opinion bl4, but while buckets grow plants, yields and success are less than best….nothing grown in a bucket will produce like a real garden, except salad greens and maybe cherry tomatoes at best...just sayin, don't be mad at me for that.
Corn roast and pot luck at Camp yesterday was a stellar event...nobody throws a potluck like us Lutherans....food, food, and more food...and the corn was awesome and grilled to perfection. Conversation till dark with the perfect weather we were blessed with! I'm thankful for the great day at Camp.

Glad you had a good time up in my neighborhood, I haven't been up Brady's bluff in 30 years or more I need to do that again

One quick question, my girls are 7 weeks old now is it ok to start mixing layer feed with starter/grower feed to slowly get them used to the new texture or won't it matter. They are getting full crops every morning under the deck and in the garden eating bugs and spiders.

When you have soil that will kill the plants, you work with what you have BigZ. I’ll be thrilled to get any food from those plants; I should dose them with some good manure.....

Yep I totally understand that bl4...glad you do too! It just has so much to do with the constriction of growth that the pails provide, besides the watering, sunlight, etc... but yep, some harvest beats none at all...kudos for the effort to have fresh stuff grown by you....you and I know it's the best produce one can consume... Rock On.. with the fresh stuff.
