Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

what are the rules for not grabbing someone by the hair ?? that would stop someone running with the ball in short order.
BL4, yeah projects,, too many of them and none ever seem to get finished.

last night the Canadian smoke was so thick here it made me cough..
when I go outside, my eyes and nose run as if I had a cold.
before I figured out what it was, I thought I had allergies..

The wildfire smoke has not been too terrible down here although certainly noticable.

@BigZ I am praying that your daughter, as well as all firefighters, stays safe battling these wildfires. Those fires sound horrible!

I have been harvesting tomatoes and peppers. I'll be making @deathen's marinara recipe next. I don't know if I'll have enough tomatoes for salsa this year. :(

those wild fire fighters have a unfulfilling job.
they fight hard and it has to be exhausting.
I would last about 2 minutes..
then after all that fighting, the rains come and it is over..
I know many of the fires start on their own, lightning or something.
but anyone who starts one on purpose should be executed on the spot..no trial..

Thanks for the kind words toward Angie. She was called to a new fire that was 300 acres and within 24 hours it's over 5,000 acres and growing.
Dang, too bad your not in Wega bl4...I have extra pickles and dill. I'm allowing the pickles to get big now and slicing them in half for the chickens...they love them.
Second batch of salsa is cooking now...this is a 12 pint batch....I sampled one of the new pints from the last batch...perfection! I've been going with 10 healthy teaspoons of fresh ground red pepper per 4 batches (or 12 pints)

Just received a email from Angie...the fire has grown to almost 13,000 acres since yesterday.....she said she is swamped with work....

not much anyone can do from the ground to stop burning trees..
gotta be the most frustrating job in the world.
Angie's butt will be dragging in two weeks , for sure..

braids would make nice handles to grab to stop a runner..

I finally have the late season radish and spinach planted today..it was kinda a toss up for needed work....get the tiller out and work up a spot for planting, or cut the long grass....guess who got the nod …. food for the future, or a waste of
gas! I guess the grass can wait for another day...or week... maybe.

about 4:3o today I went out and mowed the whole lawn.. by then the sun is behind the wind break so the whole yard is in the shade.
I have to take a load of wood chips down to the grapes for added mulch. then I can easily mow a circle around each plant.
after the plums are done in a couple of weeks, I have to trim the lower branches off. I can't get under the tree to mow.
I don't mind wasting gas, Brent. LOL
