Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good job on the kraut bl4.....tonight it's pork loin roast smothered in kraut...we eat a lot of kraut here too...nothing better than ho-made kraut.....it ends up on a lot of grilled brats here too.
Cut a small load of hickory today and raked some more leaves...hunted a couple hours in this nice weather....so all in all it was a good day.
Nice to watch the world series, but I went to bed at the top of the 12th....nice to see the Dodgers stay alive and win....but Boston has the best team and will prolly be Champions....just sayin.

My Sunday.

McIntosh and a variety I cannot remember.... but it made beautiful bright pink applesauce!

my Sunday, I took the carburetor off the moped. took over an hour ..
squirted carb cleaner into and all over it..
It was very clean to start with so hoping none of the jets are clogged.. it is a sealed carb so I cannot get into it without drilling the tiny screws and using an easy out..
I did get the motor to run with starting fluid. that is a good thing..

DH was busy all weekend. He got the machine shed 2/3 cleaned out and swept. It is a 3 stall building and the last stall was made into horse stalls, so it needs the walls removed. they built the walls on top of the horse mats and it is hard as heck to sweep those horse mats.
He even fixed the garage door opener in the first stall so I can park my truck in there again. Dang birds had a nest right above the garage door opener and pooped on it all summer, no wonder it didn't work anymore. DH is going to try to clean it out some and see if it will work. We are going to house wrap and reside the shed to keep the birds out.

Taking a break after cutting a load of wood....prolly split it tomorrow...I'll give it a day to air out since it was rained on all day yesterday. Gonna miss the daylight when we switch the clocks back again.

Brent, do you use the splitter from camp ?
or do you have one of your own ?
Wyo. I was watching "The Kitchen" on TV this morning. one of the people made a pumpkin cake roll with cream cheese frosting/filling.

I have my own splitter Jim...it's amazing how much it gets used here...I don't know how I managed all those years without one...except the fact I was young and able to hand split it all. I cut another load today...seems a shame to cut the nice black cherry into fire wood....
No hunting tonight...down at Camp at 3pm to take the mower deck off and install the snow blower, as well as blow the water out of al the outside camper hook ups....glad that's done, cause I need to go hunting.

yeah, when I burned wood I split by hand, too
If I had to do it today, I would freeze to death
going down the road to help out the new neighbor. he drove off of his driveway with a van and the grass was too wet. he sunk in pretty awful.. I am going to take along every chain and tow strap I can round up.
I don't want to drive on his lawn and maybe get stuck myself..
I have the carb all ready to go back into the moped.. but now I decided to drill out the screws on the float bowl and check the jets and needles under it. If the carb wouldn't happen to work when I put it on as is, I would have to go through taking everything apart again and THEN drill those screws out.. so might as well do it now..

Good luck with helping the neighbor, @jvls1942
It's mighty nice of you to help like that.

I was turning my old compost pile with the new baby tractor and the grass was wet. I was having trouble with slipping when I remembered - this tractor is 4-Wheel drive. Whoo-hoo!
