I like sour kraut. But only make it a couple of ways: Country-Style Spareribs with Kraut and Brown sugar; Ruben Sandwiches.Annie likes saurkraut, I am not a big fan of it
I believe that the kraut should be rinsed before cooking it.
with some of the meds I take, I am not allowed to eat much cabbage anyhow..
I like boiled cabbage in what Annie calls boiled dinner.. I eat it despite the "no no"
we have a book about pricing old canning jars. there are not very many worth anything more than a couple of dollars..
My dad used to make kraut in a large crock. I liked it when it was about half done..not real sour yet..

All 3 of my kids know how to cook. when they were in middle school and high school, we all each took a turn during the week making supper.. had some very "interesting" meals sometimes..
the youngest daughter always made mac&cheese with hot dogs on the side...
