My 5 new birds are getting big, the old hen is finally giving them some room. Saw all 6 on the roost two nights ago but last night the new ones were on the floor again, but it is showing promise. Sure wish the river would have a chance to go down, the bluegils are going to spawn in the woods this year I am guessing. Going to be hard to fill the freezer

This coop cannot get finished fast enough! These birds are getting big and need their permanent home ASAP! Need to put a door on, the rubber coating on the floor, paint the walls, ugh...... not enough time in a day to get it all done.

I warned you ya know? Buying those buildings that they move to your level sight are so less stressful and complete except for the nest boxes. It's the only way to go....
Yep, I think the gill fishing is pushed back a couple weeks like everything else this year.

This was much cheaper than a pre-made building; and I got what I wanted. Made sure it has all the modifications Jim suggested too.

It would be completely finished if the DH did not work 3rd shift......

They sure love their freedom don't they.
Mine must be finding worms in the areas that I have a lot of leaves on the ground...their little legs are just making the leaves fly in quest for those juicy leaf worms.

finished planting whatever I am going to.
Now that I could use a rain shower, it doesn't happen..
I watered the tomatoes and beans, yesterday.
the corn and squash are too far away for the hose.
I have a 55 gallon barrel rigged up with a faucet and hose. I might have to bring it out.
it takes about 20 minutes to fill the barrel.
I haul it to the garden in the tractor bucket.

I know after all the rain we had it seems funny to have to do some watering, but I've also carried a number of watering cans to help with the carrot and beet sprouting. I hope to see sprouts this week.
Hope you all enjoy your FFF...Baked cod and tater salad tonight, along with a pile of shrimp....don't want to go away hungry ya know.

I am going to wait another day for the rain to come. It is supposed to rain on Sat night.
today we went to the "peach truck" parked at Menard's and bought a lug of peaches.

Enjoy your peaches Jim, they are truly tasty for sure.
The Amish store sells them here too.
In the process of lockdown, I already have one early peep hatched....hoping for good results in the next 48 hours....it's fun hoping and waiting for a good hatch.
