Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Another FFF already...where did the time go? Deep fried haddock loins with fresh red potatoes cut for fries. Just a simple but tasty fish fry.
Picked up my deer from the sausage maker..looks good and plenty to share with others....I love sharing the harvest with neighbors and family.

Continue to stay safe...bigz

Alot has been going on the past month or so. I no longer live in a tent but paying to stay at a motel. I did give the two calicos to someone from out church who lives in the country. I had to surrender 7 of my cats to "Touched By A Paw" (a no kill cat rescue). I had to transport them to get an updated Rabies shot, Feline Leukemia test and heart worm test. The 5 females got spayed and I had to go back to pick them up in the afternoon. I will be volunteering there so I can still see them.

My Rhode Island is not laying daily now and the 5 chicks (now 7 months old) are starting to lay. None are daily layers so somedays I get 2 or 3 tiny eggs and some days none. My Polish White was named appropriately. She gets out and then mad because she can't get back in but does when we put her back. At least she doesn't go far, she stays on the netting over their pen. We need to move the pen soon cuz winter is on it's way

I took my Rhode Island Red for a car ride. The second picture is when we got back home from Acorn Beverage. She behaved very well and the Liquor Store manager took a pic of her. I told Jordan now, she has proof she needs to close the store and go drinking *LOL*

Just a note to let you know that my hip replacement went well and today is day 16 and the first day I came down the basement stairs to my computer room.
I can walk short distances without a cane. but outside on the uneven ground I use a walker.
I had minimum pain from day one. I hope my second hip goes as well.. Jan 14,2021..

Good to hear that all is going good Jim and Raeja.
The molt is still going on here with egg collection down to about 3 a day now. I'll be happy to see a reduction in loss feathers for sure.

Stay Safe...bigz

good morning, I am sure liking these cool days. It could stay like this year round.
Yesterday I spent a long time outside. I took the air cleaner off of Ollie and took it all apart and put it back together. . I decided it doesn't need a new filter element after all. Just need to buy a flexible hose to connect it to the carburetor.
