Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Doing good. School ended this week so there is a transition period of everyone being home. Oldest is working at a local CSA 30 hrs a week and then we have our own gardens to tend to
I remember the first few days of vacation when the kids were home.
It felt strange at first. You think, ah good, now we will really get some work done around here. and then reality settles in. lolol

After a week of company, then dealing with the Covid they left behind, I am finally going to get going on planting stuff in the garden. Roto-tilled the tiny green weed sprouts back into the ground and setting up cattle panels for the tomatoes this morning.
It is getting pretty dry in this sandy soil, so I hope we get some of that rain that is supposed to go south of us this afternoon.
I will be running soaker hoses for the garden stuff, so it is not that critical. I think rainwater is better for the plants anyway.

that was nice of your company to share.
Yesterday I made mashed potato rolls. Last night I made a batch of cowboy beans. I let them slow cook over night so they won't have to be refrigerated today. I just ate a small sample bowlful. they are good.
we had a sprinkle of rain. nothing to write home about.
tonight we might get some IF that southern rain slides north a bit.
We are not too dry here, yet.
the farmers are cutting first crop of hay.

Its been raining here all morning

Busy busy day here; planted a raised bed, got some annuals planted, did some weeding….. then hung out with a couple of my kids checking out some estate sales in town, then a trip to Appleton to get some shopping done.

Going to look at a house tomorrow….. 10 acres….. maybe the hubs will like it.

We are looking at houses to so hard to find right now. We did find one but it is only a 2 acre and we found another one that is a 10 acre but the 10 acre one is pending

we had a good time at our picnic,
today it is sprinkling on and off.
still could use a good soaker.
the tall grape has to be pruned.
there are too many shoots at the top wire. only need two. will have to tie them to the wire to train them to go the right way.
our doe showed up just before dark last night. glad to see she made it through hunting season.
I hope these deer don't nibble on my grapes and new trees.
