Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Lovechicks, if you can just clean and adjust the original
carb , you are better off. the aftermarket ones are not
very good. I bought two different aftermarket carbs for
my lawnmower and ended up using the original 22 year
old original one.
my tractor tires have fluid in them. but there are places
where I push the snow down a slope. that's where the
wheels spin. I have to push with the bucket to back up.
I didn't get the back blade on today. it kept snowing
all day. tomorrow I will do it. have to open the driveway
because it drifted in a couple of places.
BigZ, have you used the box blade on your
driveway yet ? how did it work ?

Yep, Jim the box blade works pretty well when pushing in reverse. It also works well to drop near a building and pull that away until the box becomes full, then scoop that with the fel for removal. I like to push the pile the snowplow leaves at the driveway access across the road.

yeah, I was thinking of turning the back blade backwards
and backing up to push the snow. It doesn't work very
well to pull it forward because I am driving through
the deep snow..
do you have ripper teeth on the box blade ?
I have been looking at box blades because my driveway
has humps and dips that I would like to smooth out
and make level.

We usally buy a kit and replace it ourselves, i dont buy aftermarket carbs they are junk.

today was my last chance to put the back blade
on before it gets really cold. It was covered with snow.
I knew about where it was and I poked around with the
bucket until I found it. Hooked a chain onto it and
dragged it into the driveway. I mounted it and then
discovered that I could not swing the blade 180 because
the drawbar is in the way. So I just left it in the forward
position. I plowed the new snow and widened the driveway.
Thinking I better go get a can of gas before it snows again.

Downside of pushing backwards, actually couple of them. Tires are made to get traction going forward, If pushing snow into pile and pushing to hard on one side of blade (hit a stump or whatever as example)can possibly bent the 3 point framing of the backblade.
I know found out the hard way once.
Though I still push and pull the backblade I just a lot more cautious backing.
