Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Here you go Jim ... a fresh new post like the light snow we received early this morning.
I suppose the wood pile will really take a beating this next week.
More straw added to the coops at chore time here shortly. Gotta keep the coops as cozy as possible for the ladys.

Stay Safe and warm ... bigz

Yep, Jim the wind makes the difference for sure.
I can tell the difference by how often I need to add more wood to the boiler.
The hens don't care for the extra cold either. They don't mind cold, but wind and extreme cold makes them just want to huddle and stay warm. Large coops with people doors are the only types of coops I would ever own here in Wi. Chores are done inside and out of the wind....just sayin.

I really wish i made a walk in coop.

Hope everyone survived this cold snap on the last days of Jan. Sounds like things will be a little more human like tomorrow for a change. I need to get outside and get moving on some more firewood.
The wood boiler has been hungry and eating some prime hickory and ash like candy. It will be nice to have a slower burn for a few days too.
Thinking about getting the seed order ready already. Nice to get it in before favorites might be sold out.

Stay Safe..... bigz
