Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

He is so handsome! I was at Wisconsin International on Friday.
That's why I posted that I was going. Would have been nice to meet you or someone from BYC
So many great beautiful birds I couldn't imagine judging one best.
You brought a nice selection there. I had someone there explain to me about the dominique

Oh yeah, unfortunately I’m never on this thread. When I have talked about shows in the past (on other threads) no one was interested. 🤷‍♀️

Nice looking bird EE! If one joins the APA 3 years for $50 you receive a yearly book that lists all the sanctioned events and individual point totals of the exhibiters results as well as advertisements from the best breeders in the USA as well as Canada. Wisconsin has some excellent breeders.

My flock is molting for the most part now.

Stay Safe ... bigz

Yes Wisconsin has a lot more quality shows and breeders than most states. Coming from someone who has shown outside of the state. Poultry show Central lists all poultry shows in the US and Canada.

She spends the night in a dog kennel in our house. Hasn’t spent any time in the coop or run yet, other than those two times
Lucy has been back with the flock both in the run and coop for nearly a week. Letting her free range with them for a few days, rather than keeping her in a pen outside the run worked well. Few pecks, squabbles, but she’s back with her girls, and they’re all back to their usual chicken silliness!

That's good to know. In a year when I will more than likely get a new herd of chickens, I'll look for them and hopefully get chickens bred to the standards.
I could have spent alot more time there just talking/learning about all of this.
I saved the PSC website, thanks

Sorry for the long MIA everyone! This is a picture taken last year with a stray pigeon who decided to move in with Flash and Zombie Chick. It took a few weeks but we finally got the numbers off the band and 4 or 5 phone calls later, found its owner. We named her Penny the Pigeon. She will remain with that name. She got lost in this area once before and I guess his mom lives on the other side of Whitewater. You can't really see Pixie but she is in the top cage.
