Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

GrandmaCluck, we watched it on channel 2 (I thought we'd miss it too, but a friend clued me in at the last minute.) Halftime: Pack 17, Ravens 0. Then they almost gave it up in the 3rd, final score: Pack 27, Ravens 14. That game also tied the NFL 2nd place record for most penalty yards in a game (310 between both teams.) It takes a strong heart to be a Packer fan. Clean it up, boys, can't win many games playing sloppy.

YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! IT"S SNOWING! IT"S SNOWING! My dream has come true! Now....Bring it on!

Not much here. Less than an inch right now. But the roads here are getting bad. I went to town and refused to take HWY 10. Even though it's only from one exit to the next...it looked bad. I slid a couple times too and I have 4 wheel drive. AND I was going slow.

GrandmaCluck from Waupaca. We're getting quite a few new people. Glad to meet you! There's a nice crew here.

My girls are not too sure of this white stuff. But they have come out in it. Their spending a lot of time in the coop too. Think that they can sence the weather.

Bigzio; I just got off the phone with the big red man himself and he told me to tell you that he knows you've been a very good boy and he knows that Suzie can stretch the truth a little. But the most important thing he told me was that the peace on earth request has been the hardest one of all to deliver. He said he gets one part of the world to behave and then another starts arguing over the silliest things. He is truley saddened by it. But he has hope that one day he can give that gift to everyone! And he said THANK YOU! for the cookies and libations but may have to pass because of a previous problem. He got a SUI Sleighing under the influence. fordmommy I think you over did it with the wishing. Maybe could have spread it out over a few more days. But glad you get fire up your snow machines. Probably won't have the trails open for a few days till their packed and groomed, but it should be soon! WELCOME Grandmacluck!!!! Hope you enjoy our banter! It's fun and informative. Good people! Think I'll have to up the wattage on the bulb in my water warmer maybe a 40 like Bigzio suggested or a 60. I'll try the 40 first. After hearing the upgrade to blizzard and 45 mph winds I decided I'd better get the cab on the blower. It's one of those best money I ever spent things. The plow has aleady been by, not much out there but they were scraping and laying down salt. Might have to do the end of the driveway before work to get out. We'll see. Pretty sloppy game but did like the end result. Thought the offensive line looked pretty good. And hope Matthews has found a home. Hope your snowblowers and plows are gassed and ready. Be carefull!

First green egg today! Those silly girls sure waited long enough!

Planning on making cookies tomorrow since all the kiddos will be here and driving me up a wall going in and out of the house.......

Anybody ever deal with an annoying know-it-all snoop at work? I have one who keeps telling me I have boyfriends at work..... my private life is so much more exciting than I know about! Apparently I have all these men AND a husband! Who would ever have the time? One is enough!

Tyler, I hope you got those pictures I sent you. Let me know if they made it, I sent them yesterday morning.

Happy bilzzard everyone!

Happy Snow day! I am near Montello, WI and home today, with my husband and son. I have a state job and the Govenor declared us to stay home, I hope that means I don't have to use my vacation time!

My husband (last sunday) finally helped put a roof over the run so my hens would go out when it snows, but it isn't pitched enough!

I was out there this morning ( I am 5'4) jumping up and hitting the tarp om the inside to pop the snow off. Then after getting really sweaty and figuring it counted for an arobic workout I did get all the snow off. When the snow tapers off I will put some hay down so the finicky ones will finally leave their house! the miniscule 1/2 inch in there is too much for them I guess.

I did also make a wind break on the north side of the run too, I do hope they discover the winter outdoors isn't so bad (well except for this evening when it's gonna get below zero!)

Baby Lady, I did recieve them. thanks for that! I greatly appreciate that. They will be featured on our peafowl page. Yay no class today. I am trying to write a history of Purely Poultry so I don't forget things. Years blend together after a while.

A perdicament I have found with my business plan. How many Backyard chickens are sold in annually in the United states. I think I will create a post about it.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Even after all the work of digging ourselves out, I can still say it's a beautiful snowy day.

Babylady, been there. We had a gossip queen at my old job; most of us learned to avoid her and not tell her anything of importance. When it got bad, we went to the supervisor (unfortunately, the queen was favored so that didn't always work.) As long as everyone knows she tells tales and takes her with a grain of salt...

ChicknLover, are you new to our thread? If so, HELLO!!

This one nitpicks EVERYTHING! Checks timecards, looks over everyones work, citicizes everyone, but acts like she is the cats meow. The old boss was her buddy and let her get away with stuff she should have been fired for... but now we have the new boss. He is awesome and is having quite a time dealing with her!

Quite frankly I am getting tired of her telling people at work I am the girlfriend of some of the male co-workers. The first incident did not happen at work, but the second one happened yesterday after my boss had left for the day.

She is one of those people who suck up when the boss is around and the second they leave the room she is up to her dirty tricks.....

I just smile sweetly, label ALL my work with my initials and the date so I can't be accused of not doing my work. Eventually she will hang herself.......
