Chicken hawk has been hanging around. Put 2 rounds in the .270 yesterday. It came back. About 225 yrds in a high wind. It's minus 1 feather. Couldn't believe it. Second shot was wild but close enough to crack as it went by. A bullet traveling above the speed of sound sounds like a firecracker exploding when it passes you. You hear that then the gun going off. I know this first hand my BFF dang near put a 6mm in me one deer season on a long distance shot not knowing I was in the line of fire. It was pretty weird but it's OK we've been trying to kill each other for years. Seems to have slowed up the last few years. Older? Wiser? Maybe. We'll see.
