Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Well I am the late one to post...so much to do when I got home! Now I will be late for work this morning from reading everyone's postings! Oh well! I echo everyone's sentiments on the bash and we WILL do it again! Thanks for all your hospitality Fordmommy--great finally meeting you and seeing your place was great!
The remaining button is getting used to the finches (and they to him) the gineas and chicks are getting used to the turkeys and other chicks and I put my new Salmon Fav in with them and he is happy to be "the big guy" for a change! I do think he is scared by the little keets though!
No lambs born and no deaths that I can see while I was gone...thank GOD--but Monty didnt show up either

I'll be going to the swap in Chippewa Falls next month, so if she wants me to look for anything specific, I can! I've been traveling around a LOT to swaps lately - I'm bound and determined to find a White or Magpie Call duck hen. I'm addicted to the cute little buggers.

I'm glad the Runners make her smile at least!

Bigzio - It's no problem - I'm so glad I found someone who appreciates them! And, not only did I get those eggs for free, but the guy lent me an incubator to fit all the eggs in - at the time, my incubators were FULL of eggs I got here on the BYC April Egg Swap. I've been trying to get back in touch with him to give the incubator back, and I just heard back from him this morning that I can keep the incubator AND I can have more eggs if I want them! I think chicken people in general are just nice people!

Oh, and Babylady4 - here's that picture of the "Odd Couple" - a Call duck that's a older sibling to our duckies and her Rouen friend that hatched on the same day - I hope Karen doesn't mind me posting this, but look at the size difference!

She's needing hens that will lay well, she has a list of people waiting to buy eggs. Purebreds or hybrids, doens't really matter. She has Golden Comets and Black Stars mostly, 2 old and 3 young EE's, a giant Cochin, and a Sebright pair for fun. Also, her D'Uccle pullet was killed, so she's looking for a mate for her D'Uccle roo. It just stinks because in a couple months her new birds would have started laying, and now she has to start over. Only 2 young pullets out of 9 survived.

Terri, don't lose hope for Monty! He's just enjoying some free-livin' bachelor days before he settles down.

Good pics, FM! WHO made that hot dish, looked like a chili but reminded me of sloppy joes, it was soooo yummy. Needing that recipe now.

You know, I was just on CL, and found someone selling Porcelain D'Uccles: http://madison.craigslist.org/grd/1790491323.html

What
color was the D'Uccle she lost? I'm headed in that direction within the next week, and I e-mailed the lady and she's pretty sure she has them all sexed at this point and could get me a girl.

It was a Mille Fleur, I'm fairly certain. I'll tell Julie about it, let you know what she thinks. how would we arrange getting the bird(s) up here?

I have family up by Wausau that I know the younger sisters will be going to visit this summer (I don't have an exact date yet), but they'll be going up through Plover and Steven's Point...I know there are a couple of you up in that area, so maybe we could arrange a little "Chicken Train".
