Happy Summer Solstice!

The longest day of the year - now the days will get shorter and shorter until nearly the end of December.

Our first lily of the year bloomed in the backyard today, and I saw a momma Turkey taking her new little poults out for a stroll this morning; they couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 days old. I'd been keeping en eye out for her - we always have a wild Turkey in the spring that raises her babies on the property.

Hope you all get a chance to enjoy the longest day of the year - before it starts raining!

Hey-Annarie-no thoughts about the days getting shorter yet!

We had a great time at Noah's Ark yesterday, no one ended up with sunburn thanks to the sunscreen we used

, the kids enjoyed it alot and they found rides that they liked as well. DS(8) went on every ride that he was able to(only 4 that he couldn't), the lines were short to none at all yesterday so we could go on rides as many times as we wanted. They want to know when we will go again, in fact DS(5) asked if we were going today... had to say no today is back to work! DD(10) liked the wave pool alot and didn't like the rides with a bigger drop in them(just like me) so there were some she went on once and that was enough!

funny annarie that you should talk about the solstice... did you know that is why christmas is in december as Jesus is a light unto the world and that is when more light starts to come to the earth so that is why we celebrate it then .. cool huh

Hey KAQ--the white one looks like a Pekin and the brown one some kind of Kaki? Annarie--please enlighten us! Sold ducklings and a gosling today--he let them out and the goose ran and then died! He cam back and I gave him a replacement--nice old guy! (future client?) Speaking of clients--lost one today (96) comes with the job I guess but he sure was a sweet man...Godspeed my friend!

No signs of Monty yet. My friend dropped off a nice neutered black cat. She found him in Ixonia--I hope someone replies to my Craig's list add! DrH--need another cat? He sure is sweet!

Took me a long time to read up today...you gyuys have been chatty! I LIKE it! Guineas, turkeys and chicks out for the first time today--what a riot! I have to bring them in before I let the dogs out though--no more accidents! The chick is still OK as of today--one eye looks bad but I think he/she will make it!

OK--going to make some popcorn that my dd24 got for me in the baraboo area--that is my dinner for tonight! Hope all Dad's had a great day! We were at Devil's Lake--great time was had by all! Good Night! Terri O

WOW--cool storms tonight! My daughter and I iwere running around trying to find the best window to see them. The top story in the barn was good. ALl the horses wanted out so I let them; thinking that they might know something that I didnt...storm has passed--horses and people OK. I think when those sirens fimally go off the storms are East of us already. Neat lightening though---still have power!
