Good Morning Everyone! Quite the game yesterday didn't see that coming. Hoping to find some more surprises in the nests today. Congrats barlracer on all the awards! I was just looking at my SLW roo Buster and thinking that he could place in a show. He's a handsome boy! Don't know what the standards are though. Either way he's a champ in my book! Don't know what I'm going to do today so much to choose from.

Morning All,
Well we realized that one of our hens was NOT happy.... She is ready to start laying but was hiding in the coop all the time, I think the other hens just didn't like her.
Our neighbor has too many bantams, and not enough big hens, so we gave her to them, I will swing by in the next couple of days to check on her.
Made a small sleeping area for the smaller birds in their area for the winter, I will cover it. They are in a barn stall for the winter. I will get pics..
It really is a kludged together thing... Terri O I used all "found" materials too... a pair of pieces of dry wall, a piece of barn wood, and cat food cans...
YES .. cat food cans. I will get pics today!! LOL!!!!

Afternoon All.... Congrats to the both of you....Doc for the SLW first egg, and barlracer for a great show. More wins and more eggs for the both of you.
What type fish oil do you use Doc. My eyes need any help they can get! I 'm glad the pack pulled it off....and glad the vikes are in last place with another loss....poor Brett....

Worn out from hunting. All the fresh air and the close eye on things in the woods is enough to make you sleep great though.
I'll check out the dell deals before we finally buy. Suzie knows how to handle a gun. Just might find this bucket of bolts blown away one of these days....

The pullets are doing great. Getting a few larger eggs already. Still 6 a day, so some haven't started yet.

Haven't looked at the tractor again...prolly tomorrow, or maybe not.

Hi everyone! I'm new but live in the land of cheese XD, I don't have any chickens but I want to get some

, but I would have to build my own chicken coop next year spring so any ideas for coops that can with stand WI winters would be great! I'm thinking about getting silkies and NNs.

Most wisconisites use light bulbs inside, hay or other things to keep the wind away from at least one side of a coop to keep it warm too!

Welcome Golden acre! Any help I can give you are welcome to . Evening all well me and my buddy mally {21 month old} got the coop freeshened up and did she get dirty! Turned around for a second and she got ahold of the can of DE and dumped it all over her pants then while I was in the coop spreading the DE she got the bag of pine shavings and dumped that out too! The window leaked during the big storm and got rain in the feeder so we had to clean that up and recaulk the window.we should of picked up dog poop first because the next thing I know she came running up yelling kaka kaka wich wouldn't be so bad but we have an english mastiff oh my god was that a mess all over her shoes and the bottom of her pants had to take her clothes off in the garage and laugh my ass off! Wife wanted to know what's goin on out there until she found out what it was then she wanted nothing to do with it Lol. So that was my day

I don't have chickens yet either; just a bunch of noisy call ducks!

Speaking of those ducks; those devils must think it is spring, either that or they are 'practicing' for next Spring...... my DH has gotten the best chuckles watching those males not quite get what it is they are supposed to be doing..... and fall off the girls onto their backs!

I am hoping to get my duck pen up before the end of the month. That way we can shut the ducks away for the night into houses they can't see out of! Right now, every time they see a person shape in the nighttime they quack like mad. I do not think the neighbors will tolerate that for too much longer at 5:30 in the AM!!!!

Ok, off to get some brekky and finish off my coffee. Enjoy the day everyone! Remember to go vote!

Good Morning Everyone! Yippee it's Tuesday! No more phone calls no more stupid commercials! Big Welcome Golden Acre! Stick around we'll give you all the help you need and then some. Great people on here! BL4 bet that is funny to watch! Poor boys wonder if the they get blue bills? cd hands are feeling better! Sounds like you had yours full with your helper. Bigzio there's all kinds of oil out there and they say that some are better for you than others but we just get the Wallgreen brand cause they often are buy one get one free. They work so what the hey. Hopefully getting my hair cut today it's a good month late and is driving me nuts. Then to the voting booth. Retarp the camper, cut some wind falls, and split and haul some wood. Think with the rain coming will finally get down in the crawl space and remove the nonworking sump and replace it with the working unit then I can get in there to do some repairs. Hope all of you have a great day and something makes you laugh!
